Why does it have to be a true metal gear game? Just because it takes place in the Metal Gear universe doesn't mean it has to play just like all the other Metal Gear games. This is obviously a spin off, and spinoffs offer something different but within an already established timeline/ universe/ world etc. I don't want to play as this badass version of Raiden and do the same stuff Snake did. What would be the point?
besides the speed/framerate, how does this gameplay look different from the previous DMC's
again why is there hate for this game?! (besides his character design). This looks awesome and the world looks to be more alive (literally) than any of the previous DMC's.

it's a damn shame these low res models effect the ACTUAL GAME PLAY. Because you know, that's why we all play the multiplayer...to look at high res models....:/

I know that, but you'd be surprised how many people can't tell if a game is running at 720p or 1080p. Games like Portal 2 and Uncharted 2 run at 720p but still look great. If you told someone those games were running at 1080p they'd believe you. 1080p resolution may be doubled but it isn't noticeably apparent like playing a game on a standard def' t.v. and an HD t.v.
do you think the average gamer can visually tell the difference between a game displayed at 720p and 1080p...

Great interview! I'm a big fan of the soundtrack from the original and can't wait to check out the tracks from this update. Although I wish they did get infinite again to rerecord new vocals.
nintendo better wake the f@#k! up and bring this game over here. Hell it already has an english translation, is getting terrific reviews and is selling very well (at least on amazon). People want to play this game! Especially with the serve lack of good jrpgs released this gen.
haha, you are so right. And It's stupid seeing all those "best of" stickers plastered all over gaming booths towards the end e3. I wonder how effective those things are in bringing in new people to the game. Are there so many people out there saying " Im gonna play this game now cuz it's won best of E3!" I highly doubt it.
that's great you got a ps3, there's so many good games on other systems that it really doesn't pay in this day and age to be a "fanboy" of only one system. You should be a fanboy of games period ;)
winning awards at games conventions doesn't mean a damned thing. These awards unfortunately don't have the pull like an Oscar does to a movie.

You make understandable points. But in all honesty Me as a metal gear fan trust what kojima is doing. After all I've played just about every game he's been involved in and have enjoyed them all. If he personally felt the original design wasn't fitting then so be it. It happens in game development.
