and if it is rendered in 3D I think it will be a let down to true fans of the series. There is nothing wrong with some nice Hi-Res, anime quality, type artwork.
The last 3D Streetfighter I played was Street Fighter EX2 and it was garbage(IMO).
With how awesome the artwork and animation was on SF3 Third Strike I would love to see an update in 2D.
While I don't agree with this kind of advertising, it is what it is.
that comment in the article threads are Pro PS3. It is most likely that if you took a running count of how many of the people that commented on this thread when it is done that the "majority" don't even own a 360. Personally I don't care but it is true.
These are the same people that browse the comments section for 360 fans and disagree with whatever they say, "no matter what they say."
WTF are you talking about? The Contra series is on of gamings true classics. I have no doubt this game will be spectacular as Super Contra and Contra 3: Alien Wars were two of my favorite games of all time.
It is obvious that a lot of people on this website started gaming with the introduction of the Playstation. Sad.
for starting price point at $280, and games catalogue the 360 is a pretty good deal.
The games library is the largest out of all the next gen consoles bc the 360 has obviously been out the longest. You can get a lot of quality titles for bargain prices bc a lot of of the older titles are reduced now bc they have been out over a year.
You are correct (at least IMO). All the newer releases from Metallica have been garbage, and that is being too generous of a critique.
The last really good album they released was And Justice for All. The Black Album was OK. Everything after that was pretty much a joke. I remember when James Hetfield said that Saint Anger would bring the band back to its roots. Then I heard it and almost vomited.
Notice in the title I used the picture from Ride the Lightning...
that I would place as extremely difficult are Ghosts N Goblins (awesome game) and Solomons Key. The funny thing is I actually enjoy games like that.
Most games these days aren't "hardcore" anymore and can be beaten by more casual type gamers. The only newer generation title that really gave me a challenge was the Ninja Gaiden series. A lot of games these days can be beaten without even dying once.
At least with games from the past you really could fe...
If you don't want the sercice don't pay for it, simple as that. You still have access to all of the other content on Live besides the online gaming portion without the Gold membership.
When Microsoft first brought Live to market over 5 years ago it was a shadow of what it is now. There is a considerable increase in the amount of content that is now available. So it is pretty obvious that Microsoft has reinvested some of the revenue they have attained over the years to make X...
Meus Renaissance: "Final Fantasy XIII v Fable 2. Imagine Square Enix announced the same release date."
Imagine this, you going into a thread about a 360 game and not bringing up a PS3 game.
Silly me I thought the comment section was actually supposed to be about the article.
is actually a really good time for the release. It would be nice not to have to wait that long but that will be the Holiday season where Microsoft will see the most sales. This is the trend the industry usually follows with most of the bigger titles released during the Christmas season.
It states that the 360 has no "hardcore" RPGs right now for gamers. It seems to me that the 360 is the sytem with the most RPGs out at the moment.
Mass Effect, Two Worlds, Oblivion, Enchanted Arms, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon.
The only RPGs that the PS3 has out "right now" are ports of old 360 RPGs(Oblivion, Enchanted Arms) and Folklore which is more of a hybrid.
And the Wii has Zelda and Fire Emblem, which are both excellent f...
is really funny sometimes. It is almost like Deja Vu. Every month VGChartz data gets released and everyone fights and says it is innaccurate.
Then the ProSony people say they will wait for NPD. And it is "always" the same. Wii, 360, PS3. Sony could just release the actual figures if "they really wanted to." Don't you think??
It may be true that it is not a ratio of 2 to 1, but I would be willing to bet that come NPD...it will be Wii, 360, ...
Whoever approved this story after it had all of the reports should actually learn to read all the links before approving. It is a link to nothing. They just read the headline, and since it was controversial they just approve regardless of reports.
The reports sytem is in place so problems like this are avoided.
It is rather impressive to be relatively close to Nintendo Wii in sales. The Wii has outperformed it's rivals for quite some time. It is funny bc there was an article posted previously that the 360 had underperformed the week of Black Friday.
I would be willing to bet that the 360 install base will be well over 15 million once Christmas has come and gone. With a large install base, and larger software sales than Wii and PS3 combined, Microsoft will have great bargaining powe...
My first comment was not meant to degrade the character design of the Mortal Kombat series, but just stating that the KI characters were quite innovative.
I agree with you that the MK cast was also top notch. The palatte swapping that I am referring to with characters like Subzero, Scorpion, Mellena, Kitana etc.etc....had alot to do with the memory limitations of the arcade hardware at the time.
If you look at the newer renditions in the MK series the characters...
I was just wondering what emulator you were running KI on?? It is available on MAME if you download the CHD files.
But the emulation is much better on the official U-64 KI arcade emulator. Mame has a lot of sound issues as well as frame drops when it comes to KI. Just thought I would give you the heads up.

Killer Instinct did have a truly innovative lineup of characters. I give Rare a lot of credit for not doing any " color pallate swaps" like other fighting games producers do. Looking at you Midway, Subzero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Noob Saibot, etc...And even Capcom to some extent.
The KI series brought a lot of firsts to the fighting genre. The Autocombo system ultracombo multi-hit finishing moves, and overall a very unique fighting engine. Especially the charge...
It can put out better graphics than the Gamecube and the PS2. Does that mean that all PS2 games and Gamecube titles suck?? I have read in many tech articles that the Wii is "significantly" more powerful than the Cube.
Resident Evil 4 won the award for Best graphics of the year on the Cube, I am sure many Wii games will surpass it. The Wii is young in its lifecycle, so of course the games will naturally get better. That is the same for any console.

was definately one of Segas greatest games. The sad thing is that I have read a lot of articles stating that Shenmue 3 is not being made(Rumors of course).
I remember when the sequel was canned for the US Dreamcast...It may have still been released in Japan, not sure it was truly disappointing. And when the Shenmue 2 was ported to the Xbox I was excited.
The only problem with the game was the sometimes cheesy dialogue. Ex "Did you see that black car on tha...
And that intro is truly spectacular. It kind of reminds me of the Lord of the Rings movie battles. I am a big RPG fan and this looks to be another quality title to add to my collection.
