The Apple generation... Right enough, idiots have been paying for brands for years now. It's just more mainstream now and they're willing to up their debt to keep up with the Jones'.

I still have no idea why anyone would buy a full priced game, just to pay to progress now. Greedy bastards and dumb rich are really ruining the pastime.

Since when was whiny fanboying journalism? N4G will publish anything these days.

Any ballbag can have a website and claim to be a pro these days. Bring back proper games journalism with no politics, fanboy biased articles and people who actually play games before they review them.

Freebie hunting, social media led, click baiting, attention seeking, corporate arse-licking scumbags.

It's not set up for jump scares as a main trope though. It's primarily a tension builder, with edge of the seat atmosphere. Unlike, say, Resident Evil, where you have short periods of tension and a jump scare, followed by a period of calm, Alien isolation was built with no safety areas past the introduction to the Xeno, keeping you on edge and firmly in a state of psychological terror for hours on end... If you could play that long without taking a break, that is.

Depends. They all have different styles and are unmatched in their sub-categories.

Resident Evil 2 is unmatched in the series. Same with Silent Hill 2. Until Dawn in the choose your own adventure category. Alien Isolation in 1st person survival sci-fi... It's all dependant on which styles you like, and I love most well done horror games.

For those in the UK. A petition to implement gambling laws to games aimed at children and teenagers containing random loot boxes. Law is the only way that publishers will have to back down.

Wow... No. Unless grindy, empty open worlds are your bag and story doesn't matter.

Should have just put Ellsworth in... Virtually no one will be using Sanders.

You mean until Sony releases it's next batch of first party exclusives that will look better than any 4K experience on X due to single tasked devs only optimising for the one console.

Sorry, but even these amazing looking third or first party games that 'look better on X' do not compare to titles like Horizon, Spider-Man, God of War and most likely TLoU2 that have been created specifically for PS4 and always seem to match what would usually be bulshots from any ...

Will you mind when the system is ignored so much, that you'll one day have to pay to reload a gun, or to upgrade your character's perk chart?

Mark my words, we keep ignoring this stuff, this is where we're headed. EA have already passed these ideas around.

So little regard for your source of entertainment, you'd just stand back and watch as it goes down the toilet to a bunch of selfish people who can just throw money away.

Not convinced. I'll wait for enough, non big-business reviews before I buy another AC game. Seems it's being pushed because of XoX bias and graphics, rather than innovation, but we'll see.

There was an article that wasn't approved here yesterday, stating AC Origins will have random loot boxes too.

No idea how legitimate it was, but I don't doubt it, seeing as this is year of the microtransaction.

Wish publishers would all just piss off and let devs make good games again.

Good stuff. Such a good team of people, and the gadgets they come up with are amazing. Keep it up.

Good marketing for potential Christmas PS4 and especially Pro sales. Nice.

Fair enough if it's not your type of game. Missing a classic though.

Awesome. Started a second playthrough a couple of days ago just waiting for this. Glad it came sooner than later. CDPR still delivering for the consumer, unlike the majority of pub/devs in the industry.

Jeez. You are all really insecure to be derogatory towards a really pretty lass.

Go on then, all of you post a picture, so we can see your model-like looks then...

No? Back to your basement then, you under-developed lot of gasbags.

Missing out? I have a PC as well as a PS4.

Anyway, jealous? Nioh, Nier, Yakuza, Uncharted LL, Horizon ZD... Yeah, shame I missed Cuphead.

MS is one of the frontrunners for customer gouging, that's why. Between them and Bethesda, we god overpriced DLC. We also had a paid online service. Who could forget the launch of the 360... Here, buy our console, oh you want to be able to play online? Buy our network adapter! High defenition movies? You can drop extra cash on the future proofed HD player. Ah, you bought the nw adapter... Give us a monthly sub to pay online please.

Microsoft hate gamers, they love money...

Ladies and gentlemen... Please welcome Microsoft and the AAA industry's GAMES AS A SERVICE!

Now, if you would please put your money back in your wallets and stop funding these crooks (who would earn enough profit from game sales alone, if they killed microtramsactions off), then we may just get back to an acceptably priced, fun hobby again.

When EA, MS and so on execs, come to expos in rags instead of expensive suits, then I will believe that they don...

Alundra was amazing. Difficult at times, but a classic. Must have a hunt for a copy next time I'm in town.
