I agree. Seen so many recent games spout about end game content, and either the main content is extremely repetitive, too easy or has no decent story... Or a combination of the three.
A good game has you from the opening, all the way beyond the credits.

They should remake RE4 in the original few games' format, so people can complain when I enjoy playing their favourite game of the series in my personal favourite style.

Bioware have proven over the past few games that they just cram it in there and it adds nothing to the story.
Create a good game first, then try making relationships fit naturally, instead of pushing it in there, just because.
Finish one, do the other. Splitting yourself over multiple games always fails and leads to long dev time and restarts, just to get mediocre, unfinished games.
