Play the first Nier. The combat isn't as great, but the story, characters and soundtrack are equally as good, if not better.
And alienate it's original fan base.

It's not that long though. It's about lasting games.
Shallow of War is an awful choice. 5 hours in and you've seen almost everything, then realise that you have to rinse and repeat for another ungodly amount of time.
Yakuza games... One of these will last you ages. All three will last months.
Prey is huge and really immersive, and with the roguelike DLC that has just come out, lots of extra fun.
Nier: Automata if you haven't played this masterpiece yet.
