God of War still looks better than RDR2. Character models and world have much more detail.
Not taking away from RDR at all, it's a beautiful game most of the time.
In 5 years time, when EA and Activision are digital subscription services, people will still be complaining that they spent money on this type of trash, too many bugs, shady MTs and other questionable practices.
You've all been warned multiple times, yet people still throw money to bring forward the death of online gaming.
If you willingly keep paying to be f*cked over, it's on your own head.
An open world you can get immersed playing in. I think only Skyrim and The Witcher 3 have done it right so far. This is a masterpiece for a patient gamer who likes a good, slow burning story.
Still, it's putting money in Konami's pockets.
All this news about finding secrets and not much about the missing character bug.
Just had to toss away 30 hours of gameplay and restart. FU Rockstar!
Yet everyone will buy Castlevania SOTN that has just been released...
*sigh

Those fetch quests have context, have decent stories, and flesh out the world much more than most open world games.
It's not just another "kill ten of these" for no reason, for little reward.
You are the reason PS gamers don't want cross play.
It becomes second nature after a while and you do all these small, non-time consuming things naturally.
It takes a second or so to groom and feed the horse, you can equip your weapons from the saddle as you ride to your next destination, hunting, I usually do on my way back to camp after a quest... It really doesn't bog you down once you get used to it.
Also, all this stuff is exchanged for a-b boring fetch quests, monotonous collectible gathering a...
I can't do it... It'll ruin the game for me. I'd rather make my own fortune on my travels.
Skull, you can contribute part of that to Xbox users jumping ship after the Kinect 2.0, NSA and DRM scandal of the One launch. Then afterwards, the people who jumped ship when they realised there were very few special exclusives coming.
Sony is successful for a good reason, they cater to gamers first and foremost.
See, time management is a bit of a bane sometimes, but I still get in everything I need to do in the day and have a couple of hours play time.
People are saying I must sacrifice sleep, but I get 7 hours a day mostly... I just don't spend much time on social media, or playing with a phone unless I'm cooking.
I play in small chunks, pausing when I need to do something more important.
I agree though. If you find a game to be too de...
I'm late 30s, work 40 hours a week, help with my partner's business, have a son with autism, cook, clean, take care of the dog and do things each night other than game...
Everybody seems to have this need to clear a game in a week, rather than enjoy the things.
It took me two months to complete TW3 100%. I'd say it was well worth the time and money invested, same with RDR2.
The Fortnite thing is accurate. People want to jump...
Game plays great, with or without it. They'll maybe fix it down the line and it's hardly game breaking.
I like the pacing. Every night is like playing a chapter in an odyssey of one man.
People just want instant Fortnite gratification these days. They would complain if it was just more of the same if it played like every other open world game.
There's no pleasing people sometimes.
Because they're not trying to appeal to a wider range of age groups. Most horror games from AAA publishers are marked down to 15 so they can reap more sales.
Just like Hollywood watered down mainstream horror and action movie franchises.
The future holds a nasty surprise for those that can't see games being removed from libraries after the license expires.
History has taught us publishers will stoop to any level.
It's part convenience, part laziness. I'll stick to discs, so I can return it if it's a shoddy product, or sell/trade in when I'm finished with it.
It'll be a new generation before MS get an exclusive worth paying £500 for. Even then, I won't switch after their plans for the One originally, lack of first party game support, and their intentions to go all streaming, all GaaS.
The models are exactly the same, and I've seen 4k footage. They are nowhere near as detailed.
It doesn't matter how many characters are on screen, or what resolution it's in... The details are not as defined.
