XIII's was awful as well. It was a linear path of mostly useless stuff. There was no choice whatsoever.
12 was the last with something you could play around with in interesting ways.
Hmmm... I don't mind. It's when RPG's dumb down their character progression systems to what action games have been using that annoys me.
From the materia and junction systems in FF VII and VIII, to a damn perk chart in 15... That's not progress, it's the inability to think of an interesting system.
A network adapter and blu-ray player built into the console, rather than having to buy each piece separately on release, costing about the same price as a PS3 in the long run.
So easily fans forget that Xbox 360 was a bit part bought system on it's debut.
And how useful was that HD player?
That still isn't selling anywhere near what they hoped.
Goodbye life again.
Good, but please don't go into naming it Da Monster like the annoying One X users use Da Beast... It's embarrasing.
That's the thing though, you're grinding out Destiny and Battlefield... To me, after Bad Company 2, those types of game were less interesting than grouping up with your guild and going adventuring.
I would have gladly dropped any FPS to play a good MMO, and still have the time for family and work.
I was in my mid 20s with a family and full time job when these games were out. No idea why people don't have time, other than playing multiple other games at the same time.
That's not a disparaging remark from me, by the way, just that the MMOs were so good back then, that there was no need to play anything else long term. I don't play online FPS anymore at all, so I reckon I'd have the time for an old school MMO.
Wow... Society needs a sharp shock.
"Journos" should be banned from writing/making ending spoiler articles and vids.
Gaming is supposed to be an interactive pastime, not a spectator sport.
Expected. Until a reputable developer gets their hands on the license, The Walking Dead FPS games will be trash.
If Machine Games got a hold of it, I may take interest... If they don't Wolfenstein 2 it.
MMOs were pure, fun, community led gaming back in those days. All the random parties, focus on soloable content, and microtransactions killed the genre.
WoW, Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest 1 and 2, City of Heroes/Villains and Guild Wars were amazing... Then it all suddenly died on it's arse to make games more accessible.
Is that Hawaiian for circle jerk?
A turd dolled up in sequins, is still a turd.
I can't see Russia having that many betas that get offended, to be honest.
That's more of a western thing at this moment in time.
Probably manufactured by media for clicks.
So, modders will fix the game you shoddily made for free...
Surely that's announcing publicly that you have no respect whatsoever for the gaming community.
It looks even worse when everyone realises you stole mod ideas this generation and tried to sell them as your own intellectual property via microtransactions.
These publishers need to be taught a serious lesson in customer relations.
30 years old, gamersday?
Were they released on C64?
Nebaku, it's a great game, but the slight MMO feel, and party control was a little off. It felt very finnicky to use, and the gambits were tough to play around with to start with.
People gave the Junctioning system a hard time from VIII, but it felt more natural having more control over your party.
I don't hate XII in any way, it was just the hardest to break at the start, and I preferred previous games' mechanics.
They have experimented long enough, and come up with nothing that beats the turn based battle systems of x and below.
There are certainly more high grade exclusives coming out for PS4, along with all the third party titles.
Why is this even a question? Only die hard Xbox fans and people who are of the idea that shiny is better than choice will choose an X.
