That was an honest statement btw, not a dig lol.
It has always been RPGs, since I played A Link to the Past and Secret of Mana on the SNES as a kid. I always liked stories and epic adventures, growing up watching movies with Ray Harryhausen monsters, and things like Legend and Flash Gordon.
I was a big reader too, and being able to interact with an adventure, instead of just imagining it was amazing.
Nope. Too many variables to bring GaaS to it's knees. As soon as the internet goes down, or the subscription service fails, that's these companies dealing with an angry mob... And free micro currency won't save them.
I hope your site name is a play on words, and you haven't typoed Dual...
I also can't read articles that have "and here's why" in the title.
More like the first game please. 2 was repetitive, boring tripe.
The patches are mainly bigger due to games not fitting on one disc on release now.
There's also the merging from a patch that replaces big files within these huge games, needing the download size to patch over it.
It's a pain, but until devs start using the bigger blu-rays, or ship physical games with double discs, it wont change.
The standard of games journalism.
Clickbait, skewed review scores, the word "leak", people who don't play games bitching about them and poking the real gamers for a chance to be a professional victim while making money from people's backlash, paid for articles that make bad practices look good...
I'm sick to the back teeth of it.
Not a usual one, but I thought that maybe we would have a streaming while downloading/installing system by now.
Sony have PS Now, and can stream the games... I thought it might be cool to allow you to play a game through Now for free if you own the title on your library, while you wait for it to install.
Say you buy Uncharted 4, start the download, and a button appears in the menu with Play While You Wait. Your save game would be compatible with your full...

Storytelling in gaming. It started at the end of last gen with The Last of Us and has been one of the main reasons to play well developed single player games.
God of War, RDR2, The Witcher 3, Prey, SOMA, Nier: Automata... Absolutely engrossing and more than just the typical gaming fare told many times before.
I've enjoyed more original and emotional stories through the past six or seven years of gaming than I have in movies. It has evolved into somet...
I loved ODT! Such a buggy game, but I couldn't stop playing it.
I remember years ago, buying The Dizzy Collection for C64. It had quite a few games in the box, but the only two that worked were Treasure Island Dizzy and a puzzle game called Fast Food... I was only 9 and the box set had cost me three months pocket money.
All the problems with crashes these days, but back then, you had to use a tiny screwdriver to align the cassette deck to work with some games, then hope that the thing would load properly after 15 minutes of watching a s...
The Secret of Mana for sure. It got me through a lot of bad times as a kid/teenager... I honestly can't count the number of times I've played it.
I also have great memories of playing it in two player mode with my sister, who insisted on giving characters rude names haha.
It's a shame about the remaster, but I still have the SNES original to tide me over.
Wonderboy in Monsterland brings back good memories.
Fantastic idea, thank you for the opportunity. It's actually nice to see everyone reminisce about their favourite games.
Good luck to all, an hope the holiday season is an enjoyable one.
Moon Patrol on the Atari 2600 at a friend's house. I asked Santa for one that year, and it magically arrived, hooked up to the TV on Christmas day. I still remember the pain of using the stiff as hell joystick haha.
Simple gaming, but I can't remember a day since without playing a video game of some description.
Oh shut up and get another hobby.
Stop using "leaked"... It's blatant PR release.
Read Tross' comment. How does Nintendo take the lead if they sell roughly the same units next year.
Sony are way ahead.
Same. I'm so used to the Yakuza games now.
Great for building fandom though, like Abriael says. It's hard to convince people that they need to try them.
