Absolutely pathetic article. There are only two points that are remotely valid, being backwards compatability and the updates removing features. The other points are either outright lies, or drivel from a whining fanboy, which the writer clearly is.
Even for a 360 site, this is downright pathetic.
"At the end of the day, we're about shareholder bottom lines," Oommen said.
It's statements like this that only show why Microsoft is one of the most despised corporations on the planet. They have no regards for the customer, no integrity whatsoever, and no respect for anything, only for your profits and shareholders.
And fanboyism aside, doesn't matter what console you support, this attitude should not be supported by anyone.
Things just keep getting worse for Activision. And frankly, they deserve it. They broke their end of the contract, and they deserve to pay.
I'm certain that not only gamers, but shareholders are getting tired of this garbage from Activision. At this rate, it's only a matter of time before they start losing money, and that snake Bobby Kotick is out of his job. The sooner, the better.
I don't think it's a question of if, but when. Look, none of the Splinter Cell games have been exclusive to one console. And I don't think this one will. Ubisoft is third party, and could care less for exclusivity.
It will be on the PS3, question is how quickly? If it sells well, it could be towards the end of the year. If it doesn't, then it could be as early as this summer.
I'll give respect where respect is due. Alan Wake looks very impressive, and right now is probably at the top of the 360 games in terms of visuals. The best on consoles? I won't go that far, but it does deserve to stand among the greats (but not above them).
Greenburg giving props to the competition? This is different, but welcome. Maybe he's turning a new leaf, and trying to be less of a douche. Either that, or it's just a one time deal.
Comparing two games that don't even remotely compare to each other? This makes about as much sense as comparing God of War III to Zhu Zhu Pets.
Seriously, these garbage articles need to stop.
Natal will sell, primarily due to Microsoft's strength in marketing. The question is, does it have staying power, or will it fade out of existence, or becoming nothing more than a dump for shovelware and party games.
Microsoft has E3 to provide some answers. I've had enough of the talk, it's time for MS to show me something.
You say potential. I say illogical. 40 million is a high pricetag for a game you may not even break even on, and for a peripheral that could very well fail. I'd rather place that money towards something more sound and proven.
40 mil is a high price tag for something that's unproven, and could be a potential failure. Don't understand THQ's logic with this.
I'll be fair and not bash Natal, but Microsoft better show something impressive at E3, because all I've heard them do is talk.
Talk is cheap. Come E3, it's time to put up or shut up for MS and Natal.
This won't even get off the ground. The TOS clearly state what it does, and Sony indicates what the update does before you download it, nullifying any grounds for a lawsuit, as the client is aware of what will happen.
Like said, this is a waste of time. Idiots suing over something they were aware of, and agreed to. Gotta love society.
Interesting. Even though I don't care for the guy as a person, there no denying his skills as a developer. I'll keep an eye on what's next from him
From a consumer standpoint, if true, then this is definitely a changer, and will definitely boost sales. If Microsoft can afford it, than by all means, I welcome this.
However, from a business standpoint, this doesn't sound very practical or smart. Unless manufacturing costs of the Arcade 360 are borderline next to nothing, this guarantees you will either be losing money or at best, breaking even, and even for Microsoft, that cannot be viewed as a good thing, and I'm sure the com...

The total amt that Microsoft paid for Rare was $375 million, which I believe is still a record amount paid for a video game developer.
With the talent of MM combine with the resources of Sony, the sky's the limit. That's Sony thinking for the future, acquiring talent instead of a temporary exclusive or DLC. That's why I roll with Playstation.
No doubt about that, and yeah another game will come in a year, maybe less. Sony's 1st and 2nd party seem to be only competing with each other, and I don't see the other system catching them anytime soon.
What the devs at Santa Monica have pulled down is nothing short of incredible. The sheer size, scale, and clarity put this game at another level. And all of this is ingame. Just amazing.
Every other developer just got sent back to the drawing board. GOW III is about to own everything in sight.
HELLS YEAH!
Digging the new look. Feels good to have N4G back.
