Xbox were doing quite well until they started this subscription malarkey. I guess they are invested in the model now so will have to see it through.

If you look at the recent console sales figures the Xbox brand is dying, MS were very smart to ensure the brand stays alive by making some big purchases with a shift to subscription model. MS more than any other company know how to survive.
Its not all about looks, it's whats on the inside that matters.
Perhaps that's why Bethesda wanted to sell to MS.

Microsoft shot themselves in the foot ever since they endorsed the subscription service, effectively detatching themselves from what makes the console industry unique for millions of gamers, and in the process losing a sense of identity in the console gaming market.
The PS Slim in fine. Just typical video games consumers want to complain about everything and anything.
Why is it when LG or Samsung change the design of their tvs or when hotpoint change their fridge freezers or when bosch revise their washing machines consumers are not up in arms complaining about it. No reason why the console industry which is another peice of consumer equipment, should be any different.
MS are a graveyard for developers. Fingers crossed, they can prove everyone wrong this time with this aquisition.
I terms of xbox vs PS debate, I don't think ABK will make much difference in terms of sales, the PS4 era likely decided which eco system/online network will dominate for at least the mid term, so reckon Ms are too late, they should have won more followers during the xbox one era.
But what about quality of games? Surely that matters or is it just getting so much for free the be all and end all for xbox gamers?

It's a shame, because his games will probably never reach the player base they could have due to being Ms exclusive.
Reckon sales/player engagement will drop if its not on ps. Don't forget Sony/nintendo is the console market and the console market is sony/nintendo . The rest are just smaller players fighting for the remaining player base.
Still puzzled why Forza gets those review scores, thought about this and the only reasoning I can come up with is that Forza may have the wow factor when first played, perhaps the first 5 hrs or so, and then that dissipates the longer you play. However this is not picked up by reviewers as they don't spend long enough with the game.
Whereas GT7 may not have the same impact as Forza at first but you are only scratching the surface even 100hrs in. It's a game that g...
