Would the handheld be a ps portal type of system?, I dread to think what kind of support a standalone MS handheld system would get from Devs, judging by the current state of the series consoles.
Sony would unlikely buy those already established studios you mentioned as it would make no business sense, those games will by default release on a PlayStation console without Sony having to give them a penny.

Sony have a lot of experience in hardware they have been making electronic products since time immemorial. Simple as that.
Most games come and go, it’s sold 2.5M in its first ten days , not sure about current sales figures. It safe to say it sold well and should have turned over a profit for capcom. Hope there isn’t as big a wait for dragons dogma 3

I can see where he’s coming from re ps5 not just being a box with parts like a pc. They must also spend an awful lot on r & d just to design the thing so it has aesthetic appeal and typical Japanese with some sort of Philosopy behind the design. Would also think other factors around the custom airflow and the like would cost a lot given that it’s not a standard box shape
How many units is this realistically going to sell on Xbox?
These companies do long term forecasts going even beyond 5years. Its clear that MS Long term forecasts for hardware revenue is not painting a pretty pitcure therefore they are in a transition phase to leave the hardware business behind and focus on being a publisher where there long term forecasts is looking healthier.
