Well written article, enjoyed reading that.
Good move, should sell well and it’s nice that we can get these on the ps ecosystem
Don’t think it’s likely to happen, Microsoft went the gamepass route and if Sony was unsure of their footing in the console market and lacked confidence in the PlayStation brand they could have followed suit and done a similar subscription service even if it was to test the waters, but they seem resolute with their console model, if anything seeing MS suffer with the subscription numbers has probably validated Sonys decision to stick with the console model.
You can’t magically transform a game whose success was built on being a single player title to now be a live service game and achieve the same success. From my experience live service success largely happens unintentionally and can’t be manufactured per say
Make a guardians of the galaxy sequel
What’s happening here , assassins creed mirage was brilliant , they need to ensure the protagonist fits the setting and not try to be different, it’s not going to work.
that’s why I mix it up by playing shorter games in between
Glad I purchased the psvr 2 and access to full ps5 games library, and now hand tracking, exciting times ahead
Make games cheaper again they will sell better. Between 39.99 to 49.99
I’ll have to put the dual sense down and pick up metro and alien vr to see me out till the end of the year. Good to see companies supporting psvr 2 .
It’s foolish to expect exponential growth in sales for the gaming industry, comparing the film industry for example, the biggest in terms of gross sales was Avatar and that released in 2009, why publishers expect video games to continue to generate ever increasing profits is unrealistic and a sign of corporate greed.
A protagonist to draw people in. That seems to one of the biggest and obvious things developers have been getting wrong of late.
Why is it that when Sony release a headset they are criticised for not supporting it (I assume you mean not making games for it), why isn’t the same being said about meta or Samsung etc, they rely on 3rd parties to create the games so it’s unfair to demand 1st party games from Sony and not anyone else. Sony make hardware they will continue to do so as long as there is money to make from it.
Hopefully we won’t see a price hike for psvr 3
64 gb storage space seems low , should be 256 min
Not everyone wants to build a pc, alot of gamers just want to get straight in and start gaming, and not bother about buying this component and installing that software and doing this and that.
lol great comment
Could it also be impacted by the game pass effect, I.e it may not make as much money on Xbox therefore no sense of urgency from the developer to sort the issue out…
I think people are failing to understand what the psvr is. This hardware enables Sony to sell vr games on the ps store and take advantage of another revenue stream.
Sony are unlikely to invest heavily in vr from a software perspective just yet because the market is still growing so they are letting 3rd parties do most of heavy lifting for now. Psvr 3 is likely be the same but more of an increased investment from a software perspective. But ultimately it enables Sony to mak...
Those with a premium tv I.e oled and 65inch + with 120hz vrr will likely appreciate the pro more due to the extra gpu Power producing a 4k resolution , things will look sharper and run smoother especially on the responsive oled screens. To make the most of these tvs would make sense to buy a pro. But if your not bothered then the base ps5 would be fine.
