I think that if you have enough money to pay for this $350 that means you have wi-fi at home; which also means you have a PC so you wouldn’t need this. And if you have to hunt for a hotspot to send an instant msg to a friend then you probably don't have the money to pay $350.

and you actually think Microsoft does not have anybody looking into this? It's sad how some people think a company like Microsoft can pay someone smarter to solve this. The 360 is highly upgradeable. If I recall correctly you can't use the modded Xbox 360 on xbox live or it gets turn off when you get online. wait till Microsoft ships on every game an application that bricks the console when you run the game.
Don't forget your will have to have broadband ($49/$59/month) wireless internet connection to use it or take a trip to macdonals or hotspot. I hope you was not thinking that you can use it everywhere...
I prefer this game to be delay than to be released without Live multiplayer. I already made up my mind I was not going to buy this without Live multiplayer. I guess they will have my money after all.
I guess the 360 is not that bad after all. Why? Then, why would PS3 fanboys want "Oblivion" so bad? If you hate the 360 then get the PC version. You don't have to wait for the PS3 and this game to be released for the PS3 to enjoy it.

I don't see the creators of Metal Gear, Final Fantasy or Halo complaining. This is only a problem when the game sucks and no one buys it. Why would a company have a problem spending 50 million on a game when they make 300 Million? Maybe they should stop making bad games. Game relativity rule, “If the game is good; they will great profit.”
You are where I was a few months ago. I was a hardcore Sony fan. I never even played the first XBox. I decided to dive the 360 a shot and I don't regret it. I invite everyone to try it on their own; specially XBox live. I may still buy a PS3 since I am a Metal Gear fan, but my XBox 360 already earned its spot on my living room. I can only hope that the PS3 online service and games are as good as the 360.
It would be nice if Sony would give some official word on the online service and final specs. I refuse to believe that they are still working on it when launch day is only 3 months away; unless they want people to buy the PS3 and find out on their own.
I remember people buying the PSP just because you can watch movies something that the Nintendo handheld did not? At first it seem like the DS was going to get raped by the PSP. Now that the UMD format is dead; what are we left with?
