Relax; lets consider the following facts:
1) You most likely do not have a 360 and therefore will not be affected by this.
2) You can't possibly understand why Microsoft does this and your IQ (probably 60-80 base on your comments).
3) It is possible microsoft prefers to be careful with this since it can cause interference with the wireless headset or any other device which can make people upset at guess who? yeah... microsoft.
So, relax get the PS2 version or wait ...
That would be cool; but something tells me Sony is not going to let people simply install applications on the PS3. That would be cool though.
Finally I was looking foward to this.
Actually, I enjoy my 360, and I think Sony is doing a great job when it comes to these features. I really like the way the pictures are displayed and the video thumbnails. I'm sure that the blu-ray players will also have some of these features. Now, "most gamers who like sony respect live" how can you say that with a straight face... ehehe. You know most people that like Sony Hate LIVE even without trying it. Remember the unlimited bashing about the price and how it's not worth it. ...
I think these features are great; I see that Sony spent lots of time working on those details. They are not a must have; but it's great to see these extras in a consoles. Nice!
Some people simply need to believe that everyone is rasist to explain why they have problems, cant find a job or do what they do.
I'm latin(Dominican Republic), so trust me some times I find people that may not like me because of the bad name some give to some of us. I honesly even agree with some of the critism against my own people. Deport their asses if they brake the law!. The fact that you always going to find people that don't like didn't stop me from going to college, and eve...
C# is more like C or C++ than Basic when it comes to syntax. Eventhough programming languages may look very different in code, they all try to do the same for the most parts.
Take this for example:
string a = "hello"; // C#
Dim a As String = "hello" ' vb.net
The 2 line of code (above) a writen differently but accomplish the same thing (create a place horder in memory to hold strings(alphanumeric) data and assign &quo...
drewdrakes is right. Even later when the XNA mature to be like flash, you will have to go under the hood to do more advance stuff. As a gamer you probably qualify than most programers out there. It is harder to be creative and to know what it takes to make a game fun than to just code. Programing is not as hard as many people think; the reason why there arent more programers is because people think is hard; give it a try; if you stand by it and don't quit you will be programming in no time. T...
Actually the files are. They didn't change anything related to the .net or C#. They only change the name of certain components and remove some interfaces from others. Most of my classes stay intact; some events were removed since they are no longer needed. But for the most part all it takes is for you to add you existing files to a new project. It took me 5-10 mins to update my game project. It's not that bad. It's all worth in return of the CONTENT PIPE LINE!
They are just to excited about the wii they don't have time to pay attention to small details. Heck, they even made a new standard 720i, last time I checked there are no specifications for that.
"PS3 will be the Trojan horse that gives Blu-ray an unbeatable advantage over rival HD-DVD" This would be true only if there were enough PS3 to sell the people that really want it. So, if there aren't enough PS3 than there arent enough Blu-ray player. Plus, lets hope that every single person that wants a PS3 will buy blu-ray movies and it does not happen like in the case of the PSP where not many fall for the UMD movies. Also, since the PS3 is being marketted as a game console, lets...
I think is great a new Generation of New IPs (RPG) are being made for the Xbox and PS3(So, Fanboys don't flame me) it's about time they stop beating on the dead cat (FF).
Yeah, I never said it was not. backwards compatible simply means you will get the lowest common denominator. If your TV is 1.3 and the device is 1.1 you will not get any of the feature 1.3 have. And if your TV is 1.1 and your device(blu-ray/HD-DVD) is 1.3 you get 1.1.
Bottom line everytime you buy a drive with a more recent HDMI version, you have to change your TV if you want to take advantage of that. What sucks about it; is that this will confuse the consumer. Some people will buy...
Samsung all the way. I bough myself a panasonic and I regret my a** up! Samsung are great (which is why Microsoft uses them to display the 360 on retail stores) a friend of mine bough one and they are great for gaming or to simply plug your computer to it (Battle Field looks great on it). Also they support 1080P on components, HDMI, and VGA (Unlike Sony's). I heard Sony's HD-TV are also great, but not having 1080P Support for component or VGA (only HDMI) is a turn off for me since I like havi...
I was thinking about the same thing.
you piece of @#$@#$. What does this have to do with Bill Gates or the 360. If I want support through VGA cause my PS3 is already using the HDMI? We are talking about a freaken TV, what's does microsoft has to do with Sony's incompetence to know this was going to happen. Most TVs only have 1-2 HDMI ports, and now with everything using HDMI (blu-ray, HD-DVD, PS3, and eventually the 360) It is obvious that VGA and components should be an option to display 1080P since there is no technical reason...
Ok, I lost me there. So, you are saying Samsung and all other TVs supporting 1080P over component or VGA are all wrong for supporting it, but Sony (which happends to be the company you idolize and never does anything wrong). Are you fanboys going that low? Do you actually see this as a good thing? Wow! You are worst than what I thought.
It is only their best interest. 3rd party developer should simply support all consoles.
This will encourage the console manufacturer to make more 1st party exclusive content.
I think is great they are moving towards 1.3 HDMI, but it seems to me this Race will simply confuse more and more consumers. Most people don't know the difference between 1080i vs 1080P or even what HD-TV is, let alone why they should pick HDMI 1.3 over 1.1. Specially considering the fact that 95% of all the HD-TVs available right now for purchase DO NOT SUPPORT HDMI 1.3. For example, in order to take advantage of some of the features of 1.3 both the transmitter(i.e. blu-ray drive) and the re...
Great, I was worried about that.
