You are just mad DirectX is not made by Sony. If you pay attention you will know that the directx version the 360 comes with is not DirectX 9. It is a custom version; which microsoft says it even have many of features direct x 10 has. Also, since microsoft will have a little technology called LiveANywhere and XNA, yeah... it has a lot to do with it.

It is interesting what Sony is doing in order to stop people from buying a 360 because the PS3 was not available. IOU are a good Idea to lock people's money so they don't buy another console until they are able to produce it. I can see Sony's still have some tricks left.
Can you please help see what you see. In what way it looks like gears of war? For some strange reason I thought it looks more like Halo. I think gears of war may have more similarities to Raibow Six than UT. Are you talking about the game play, the graphics, the story or the characters. Can you eleborate more on this please?
This reminds me of the story about a chicken that could lay golden eggs. So, the owner figured if the chicken can lay golden eggs, then the inside must be golden too and he could make a fortune with it; so he killed the chicken only to find out that it was just a regular chicken. These people were helping Sony sell their product.
Hopefully Sony developed the PS3 with possibily of supporting it. I'm not sure developers would spend the time required to add Rumble knowing that the PS3's official control will not be supported. Rumble is something that developers have to add. That why even if the 360 comes with a 3rd party controller that supports motion, maybe 1 or 2 games will code for that, but developers cant code something that they are not sure it will be 100% there. I am a fan of the series with the exception of snake eater which I didn't like much (maybe I didn't give it a chance). I pre-ordered the PS3 to play 2 games Sony currently holds exclusivity. If this is true there is down to 1. Sony better start giving some green to keep these exclusive if they don't want the 360 to step all over the PS3. These games move consoles. Some people are buying the PS3 just to play these games. And if they are also available for the 360 then why pay the difference.

4 Million it is not a great number when you consider the following factor:
1) It's available in all major regions.
2) The PS3 will not be available in most major markets.

I said it before. The PS3 may still have more market share than microsoft in 2-3 years. But this does not mean they will be profitable. Or if they will have enough fuel for the next gen. Microsoft knows this is a long term thing. They being digging a hole on Sony's marketshares since the original xbox. It is a lot better to gain market share than to lose marketshare. CPU (Cell) is not equal to GPU! Many argue that the Cell is more powerful that the 360 processor I will stand neutral about that until the PS3 comes out and proves it. I went to target and bough a small independant fan; that I placed near the 360. I don't think is needed, but it better than to attach a device to the 360 since as you indicated, "some of the electricity that is vital to the 360" the 360 was not designed for this.
I can understand why this guy is doing this; and it has nothing to do with games... It's one of those politicians that want to pretend they are doing something good. Here is where the taxes we pay go.
If the 360 is doing this well regarless of NOT HAVING ANY GOOD GAME as many Sony fanboys say; I can only imagine how well it will sell when AAA games like gears of war are released. In theory they should do better won't they? Specially considering the fact that if you want to play certain titles like COD3 you will have to get a 360 since the PS3 will be no where to be found.
I think this is a great Idea. I think they should go for it. This can only benefit gamers. And if you don't want to microsoft do this; well there is always Nintendo or Sony.
