Well, isn't that the point of releasing a limited about of consoles? Not everyone buying a game console knows that only 100,000 were released, what they're going to think is that the product must be good, because it's hard to find. This is not the first time a company uses shortages to create hype. I just hope this does not last a long time.
I am also looking foward to the PS3 to be available but.... but we will not, for a long time. The only thing we will hear is... the PS3 it's not selling more than the 360 due to shortages....
well, well, the 360 sales went up by 320.45% which ofcourse Sony's fanboys will say this means nothing. But I think it's interesting considering the fact that the PS3 came out this week; it is only logical that the 360 would sell a lot less, not more. Don't bother mentioning blue dragon cause no big title came out in japan last week. Well, cross your fingers if this is NOT a trend, cause if it is; expects sells to go higher next week.
I don't aprove this. But, what do you expect? It has become a tradition for people to take advantage this situation everytime a new console is launched. And I have a feeling this one will be worst than all the others, since this may me the worst console launch in the history of all consoles. So, expect lots of ebay exploits.

Ohh my! DJ, "PS2 basically made DVD what it is today." what's wrong with you! Come on! I don't know a single person that used the PS2 DVD player to watch movies! The PS2 DVD drive sucked for movies. People bought the PS2 because of the games and barely used the PS2 to watch movies. I know I never did.
Relax, this is a great feature and I hope Microsoft takes notes on this since it can easly be done with a small update.
They are getting you in other ways, (i.e. memory sticks and blu-ray). So, I think both companies are doing the same thing. and they are both not in it for public service but to make money.

1080P was never worth it (maybe in the future, if nothing else proof to be better). This does not have anything to do with console per say. Lots of products are sold to consumers at a very high price for the simple fact that they support 1080P.

I think thePS3 will be just fine; content wise. There are enough game developers making games for it. Homebrew ofcourse if always welcome, but wouldn't be better if Sony would allow homebrew for the PSP instead? Sony is releasing a patch every month to stop PSP owners from running homebrew applications. I hope this is true, but knowing Sony's history against homebrew applications on their systems. Lets hope is not a controlled environment where they control what runs.
I'm married too and most likely I will have I may get the wii because of her. She made me buy a DS which she used for 3 days (mario) and is somewhere in the house. The samething will happen with the wii. She will use it for 3 days and then dump it in a closet. I recomment to use judgement unless your wife was a gamer before she met you. As much as we want to convert them, they will always prefer new shoes over a game.

The only thing that EA innovated so far was micro-transaction, bugs, cheap ports, and spyware on a game where gamers pay the full retail price. I honesly dislike EA, and what sucks worst is that they currenly hold 2 of the games I have to buy. Damn, Battle Field (just bough 2142) and Command & Conquer!.... I hate you EA! But what can I Do, if I am a fan of those 2 games! sucks! Companies like EA are giving xbox live market place a bad name.
