You mean above the world. Not everybody is as smart as you to spends $1,500 - $2,000 to run a ripped up version of MS Word you know. And not all gamers are willing to pay up to $3,000 for a top of the line gamming computer to run tetris on linux. You know what defines an the Best OS? User Requirements and development support. If I want to play games and developers are making most of the games for PC what do you think I will do? Forget it; you are [too smart] to understand.

I somewhat agree with you about old games. but then people vote with their wallets. Mortal C is on the top xbox live arcade games this week. Now isn't that something. I realised some people like these type of games. And I am too busy playing ultimate alliance until COD3 and Gears come out this week to care about or have time to play arcade games. I may care in 2-3 months, but then more games will be out for the 360 by then. I do want to play Contra!
So, obviously Linux is not required to play games on the PS3. If I don't install linux on one of the computers I have laying arround in my house; why would I install it on the PS3 in my living room? Unless ofcourse I can run most of My PC games on it. now can it?
I don't dought the Cell can do all that; since it was design to do this kind of work; hence why some argue the cell was not designed for games. The only problem is; we may never see companies like dell, hp or windows running on the cell; and there it will only be used by big corporations to run process hungry application designed to run for the cell.

You obviously do not play games online. There are too many variables that can make a game lag. Right now I am playing BF 2142 on the PC; and guess what!? It lag... I know it weird how can this be? I guess PC game is also broken, and I suppose Sony's PS3 will be the only system on the world that can't possibly lag. Try Xbox live before you make any intelligent comment. You are in for a surprice with the PS3 when it comes to online game. Lag its normal from time to time on online games.
