A few notes:
1) How do you know it can be fix via firmware (I'm not saying that it can't)?
2) How do you know in advance it will not brick your PS3?
3) I don't have a mod 360 and I am smart enough to have 2 year warranty so this does not concerns me. On the other hand, this PS3 issue affects every single PS3 own including your fanboy a$$. Isn't that something?
You can't say Sony lied about this; Sony promissed backward compability, no one said anything about quality. hah! It is a ironic that the PS3 is unable to improve a previous generation game or even play it the same. Are you telling me that a $600 next gen console can produce the same quality as the PS2. Sony better fix this.

It is Japan, what do you expect? Also, it is hard to tell how well the PS3 will do since the PS3 was just released and it is predictable that any Playstation will sell a lot at first. If you consider how well the PS2 sold in Japan; PS3 numbers are horrible; but to be fair there arent enough PS3 in the street to know if the PS3 will do well. You see how well the wii is doing? Interesting that this article was rushed before blue dragon bundle or console the title pushed are reflected. Why didn't they wait until this weekend? Another reason why it's not worth buying a PS3 at least until "2008" when most of the good games will be available, they fix all the bugs, probably have an ok online service. as matter of fact it would be ok to say that since the PSP and DS are under the same category, the same as the PS3 is with the 360. So, the only important information here is that the PSP is getting destroyed by the DS, the PS2 is destroying the original XBox and the 360 is beating the PS3.
