I didn't read the article since there is no need. We all know what Insomniac is going to say. If they say something negative or the truth (i.e. rumble would make the game better) then it can be seing as a weakness on the PS3. They are first party; they can't be honest since they bread and butter depends on it. Why don't you go and ask bungie if not having HD-DVD or an integrated harddrive is a problem?

The only reason why the 360 didn't sell better in 2006 it was because of the hype with other consoles. Sony strategy works for the most parts. Fake release dates(2-3), promises of better, obvious lead in graphics and power and brand recognition. Most people were waiting for the PS3 to show its true colors before making a desicion. The fact is that microsoft HD-DVD drive can be considered a standalone device since it also works for the PC and it's not needed for anything else other than to play movies therefore 100% of the HD-DVD drives microsoft sell will buy or rent movies. I think microsoft would want to maintain a level of control since that these xna games will be great or even worth a look (have regular gamers). Imagine the complains from most people people would have if xbox live arcade is crowded with 20,000 games/programs/others and mixes with retail games?
