actually brand name will help Sony sell consoles. If it was only up to games; why would anyone buy a PS3 today considering that the XBox 360 have a larger list of games and 3rd party games (available on both consoles) are better on the 360. Things may change in 1-2 years but for now the 360 it's a better choice; yet people are buying the PS3. Do you know why? Brand loyalty; which is sony biggest strength; not the games.
