I was refering to games like Grand Turismo, not ports that you can always get on the 360. I can guarantee you that the games you and deepbrown mentioned did not move many consoles. Besides these games are nothing like motorstorm; it would be more appropiate to compare it to Dirt.

It's great to be a lauch title. Specially when the game you made is the only one in the genre. If anybody like racing games what other choice did they have? Let's see how they do when they have to compete among other great racing games heading to the PS3.
Please don't do that. Comparing Next Gen Graphics (DirectX 10) with current Gen graphics (PS3) is like comparing the PS2 games with PS3. What sucks about it is that this Gen got beaten even before it started. The new GPU + DirectX 10 are not joke. If you want to match the power of these new GPU + directx 10 we are going to have to wait until the PS4.

No he does not. Most PS3 owners buy it to run this application and save the world or to watch blu-ray movies hence why their game attach rate is so low.

I read a lot about this topic and it's cool and all. It can also same lots of companies (in the film industry) some time by rendering faster; though I believe most if not all will buy a super IBM computer instead of putting 5-10 PS3 together. I know a thing or two about marketting but in no shape or form an expert. Last time I check when you are selling out you don't drop prices unless you are trying to move units. You don't try to move an SKU by lowering the price to get more of the same SKU. Ofcourse it also depends whether Sony is giving them a very good deal to move units.
I believe Microsoft drop the ball on the price. I guess they don't want to subsidize cost and probably even make a profit on the units.
I will not be spending $180 for this, specially because I think I don't need it. plenty of room on my 20GB.
