It must be 8 years since the last time I rented a game. This seems like another options for those that like to do that. I like collecting the games I want.

The sad part about it, is that some games really need to die, at least for 10 years. I remember when Metal Gear for the PS1 was released after so many years silence. It was a huge! There are some IPs that eventhough we like them they need a rest (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Sonic, Halo, etc) Companies make them because they sell. It seems as if these prediction move even further. I remember people staying that the PS3 would dominate on day one. Then within 6 months, then 2007, then 2008, and now 2009. Honesly this game and Final Fantasy are the only 2 games that keep telling my brain that I need a PS3. I would like this game to stay a PS3 exclusive for that reason. I wouldn't buy a PS3 for HOME. I'm a gamer not a fanboy. We can argue all day about PS3 vs XBox 360 and what one has that the other does not. To me is all about games. That's non-negotiable. You can give me as many oranges as you want but if what I am looking for is apples you can keep them. We can talk about blu-ray, hd-dvd, wifi, hdmi 1.3 and the other crap. That sucks. Game programming is probably the most difficult form of programming there is. You are required to be know pretty much everything that programmers working in other industry know plus physics, work with game engines, be very familiar with the hardware and it's limitations. You can make at least $90,000/year working with asp.net and SQL Server. No wonder they are saying that talent is hard to find. They need to do better than that.

I don't know if you are familiar with double click, but it may very be the definion of "online advertising". Owning this company pretty much means controlling a huge piece of the advertising market.

I agree with you, but I don't think this game was delayed because of not being ready. I think is game is already gold. I think many publishers are giving the PS3 sometime to have a larger installbase before releasing their games. EIDOS and other companies are doing the same. This trend will disapear once the PS3 numbers of console are large enough to guarantee a profit. By the look of things it seems it will not be long since the PS3 is selling so well in Europe.
Honesly I though that the 360 would sells would drop like crazy after the release of the PS3, instead the number are constant and even better than prior PS3 launch. In some case sells are slightly better than previous months (not counting the release of Blue dragon ofcourse). PS3 are going down, not by much but are not getting better. I think Sony has to move quick in Japan or the wii will own that country.
