It's more about keeping what you own. When my children get old enough it would be great to let them experience a variety of games without keeping systems. With digital games being even more prevalent nowadays it's only common sense, trade ins are a thing of the past for me anyway
I think it would be a major thing if PS5 did not support digital libraries from ps4. I hope digital libraries at least can be compatible. I know sony wants to push PSnow but they may be forced to with competition offering it.

Despite what n4g, myself, and you think it appears to be a hot item and has set itself apart from the pro. I think it will perform differently sales wise. If they keep bringing new content and more support for the new console it could very well do much better than the pro. In my opinion of course
To add to this I find it highly annoying when there are no difficulty settings whatsoever. I do play most games on hard difficulties because that's where I find my excitement and challenge. I've actually not purchased games and have stopped playing good games that are just too easy. The options should be there to cater to all types of players, the hardcore and the casual.

I thought the same thing, the past year has been great but it took a bit to pick up some steam.
Only one halo and gears came this gen. There are numerous games not available on other consoles excluding PC. If you have a gaming PC great, but because I don't xbox has been great for me. I respect your opinion but others may be looking forward to SOT, crackdown, state of decay, battlegrounds, Conan etc.. more than spidey, days gone, and Detroit etc.. It's not as black and white as some on this site make it seem, though an extra game or two from a first party MS studio would be obvio...
I've personally had more interest in xbox titles this whole gen until horizon. Your facts are your opinion, I can honestly say that nothing tempted me to want one until recently. BB was close but then again dark souls came out shortly after. I wanted a reason to own a PS but my personal taste liked what xbox had early gen. Thanks for your input, I think that's very well spoken of how it hasn't penetrated markets past NA and UK. I do think xbox games are online centric
I'm sure some things will be adjusted before release for base model at least. Plus I want this game to be good but don't want it to be a generic open world superhero game that i felt ive played 50 times before. That's what will make or break my buy but not a slight downgrade on already good looking game.
It's refreshing to see this type of piece rather than the usual flamebait. It is a childish and narrow minded view to just say one is better for a certain person not yourself. I do disagree with 4k, it's next, but we all do want the bigger next step as well. This gen is not much better than last even with mid gen upgrades. Kudos for taking a broader perspective but using the term M$ sort of damages the point at the end.
Hmmm I priced a similar one out recently and the cheapest 1070 I saw was 450 by itself. Without a monitor, windows and 4k drive i was still at 1200. Possibly because I didn't want to compromise on an I5 but still not a very realistic number.
It's just a suped up xbox one. Gaming won't reach any new plateaus with this console. It's just for better performance on current gen concepts. Next gen hopefully we will see a greater leap in AI and larger gaming worlds. The old boxes will hold us all back until then. Still great hardware but not next gen or groundbreaking IMO. I'm still buying it :)
People fail to realize that gaming on console and PC are two different monsters, but obviously a little bit of a flamebait opinion piece here. Ssod was not my cup of tea. It was way too easy.. I made it to halfway through the game without dying. I find no fun in a game that doesn't challenge you. Tony hawk required skill, and hopefully crackdown will have challenging strategic elements and multiplayer.
I'm gonna play SOT, crackdown, conan, pubg, state of decay on my xbox. I'll finish horizon soon and pick back up on nioh along with Spider-Man if it doesn't feel like batman (So burned out on those titles)... It truthfully is really hard to finish single player games nowadays personally.
