I really hope they are not trying to make a SC:Conviction clone. Cover can be useful but if they add in automated take down attacks I will be really upset.
Dev's seem to keep changing the formula that made them so renowned in previous games and it drives me crazy. I just don't understand. Splinter Cell Conviction was such a slap in the face for the fans of Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory. Resident Evil RC is now shaping up to be a run and gun, MW has a billion fric...
I found the single player in MOH to be extremely lacking. AI that came across as seriously autistic, PS2 textures and everything a shade of brown. Enemies would literally pop out of no where and on more than one occasion I found them running into a wall for 5 minutes.
@giovonni. Ah, yes, marriage. What a drag that was. It was so nice to get my life back when the bitch went crazy. Now, I can eat Capt'n Crunch for dinner and play vids all night in my darth vader boxers and leave the cereal bowl on the counter for as long as I want. My life rules.
Agreed on all points except midnight release. I find it quite fun to get my copy at 12:01 and then play hookey from work the next day.
Of course, this is for monster games I have been dying to play. Batman will be one of them. Skyrim the next. After that, I am not leaving my house.
I really loved the 1st two games. This looks like a generic turd. Damnit, why do devs do this? They have a great premise, some originality (playing seperate brothers) good settings and decent graphics then say, "Well, fuck all that! Let's do something totally different!!!"
I just deleted it out of my GameFly Que. Damint. Now there is nothing until Deus Ex.
I think a good idea would be to allow your team to "vote" in-game on snipers. If you are doing a team based thing and the guy is helping you out with cover fire, great. IF he's just running around being a douche as you lose then hit "start" and vote. If he gets "xx" votes then when he dies the class will not be open to him for the rest of the match.
Or, even better, go the Rainbow 6 route and have a kick feature. God, I loved being a host in ...
I totally agree with you theonlylolking. Bubbles.
It's the principle of the matter. It started with DLC being in the game then having to pay to unlock it. It just keeps going. Pretty soon it will be a "monthly" pass. If you are a dev and need more money to "house the servers" then just charge it upfront.
Then bill it into the MSRP. When I buy something I want it to work completely. I don't want to have to shell out more money for DLC, online passes and whatnot. Figure out what you "need to survive", then sel it to me for that.
I would be much happier to pay more at retail and have all features and be able to trade a friend for a while and not have him calling me bitching because he cannot get online and a message is asking for a credit card if he wants to have ...
And you have never downloaded a song? Watched a movie online? Took a slice of pizza from a buddy? Should Pizza hut make disintegrating toppings so if it leaves the purchasers hands they vanish?
I'm just playing devil's advocate here because it's not just buying used or rentals. People share games. Trade and swap. It's part of the culture. If developers want more money then charge more for a new copy. I'd much rather pay 65 bucks (compared to 60 in USA) tha...
So...if I buy a game then let my buddy borrow it while he is laid up with a slipped disc in his back he shouldn't be able to play online?
All "used" copies are not just rentals. I trade games with friends all the time. We all cannot afford to drop $60 bucks every time a game comes out.
Oh noes! My car is in this small building and will not start! The hood is up OMGZ! What is happening! My car is broken!!!!
Wait, it's getting an oil change.
@heartnet. How can u troll graphic? They are 50% of a game with gameplay being the other 50%. I am not going to play battlefield 3 in 480i just to have slightly more accesability. When i game its on a 60 inch dlp tv and i am sitting in a leather recliner with 6.1 dts surround sound. That is not exaclty a setup i can take to the park
What is the resolution? Im not playing a game that is 720p on consoles in 480i just so i can do so one the bus.
double post.
It's an all right game. Def a rent, though. Picked it up around 1pm Saturday and did coop with a buddy and we had it beat by 8ish that evening.
There is no fear factor whatsoever. I guess if you play alone, coming down off a coke bender, with Dr. Dre headphones on it might make you jump a bit....
Pretty standard FPS in regards to level design and controls. Very limited weapons with no customization at all. Graphics are bland, a mech here or there to kind ...
I would like to play devil's advocate for a second...We have heard that line before from developers. Most multi-plats do look a little better on the 360.
The only reason I care is I don't know what system to buy it for. I'm not gameflying this one I am purchasing it so I need to know for certain whether to get it for my ps3 or my 360.
Exactly. It's super-imposed (the cover picture of Mario) In the game, his leg, or any other body part, cannot go THROUGH the wall when playing a "regular" part of the game. When you "slide" through to the hidden levels, you do not fall down into lava.
The latest installment was an abortion.
All I know is I hope there are more Scarecrow levels. Those were so insane in AA. I still get the creeps and those little sayings after you died..."and in the end, oblivion" LOVE IT!
