Ha, Jetpack was awesome! I loved making my own courses in that game. Thanks for bringing that up and giving me a nostalgic trip to the past.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf 400+ hours and still going strong.
There are a lot of great games mentioned here, but I would like to throw out a couple more. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and the Swapper. Great games everyone should play.
My wallet is ready.
Loved the first one. Played it last Halloween on PC. My flat screen is visible from the doorway to my house and it was fun when kids came to the door to get candy and commented on it.
"Wow, he's playing a Halloween game!"
Ah, kids, so easy to please.
You get an agree from me, but seriously this is the Internet. I can totally believe it lol.
I absolutely love Spore. In fact I feel like booting it up right now.
@YTPHaruko
I liked the space part of the game the best. It had more depth than any of the previous sections. And while I do agree with you that your allies constantly call you back, so what? I just ignore them. Expanding my intergalactic empire and becoming the most powerful species in the galaxy is far more interesting than being bothered by a few whiny allies.
You obviously didn't read the article.
Yes, because different color Yoshi's not being equally represented is just a crime against nature. Did any of you actually read the article?
Here's a quote for you "Many different colors of Yoshi have been unfairly discriminated against going as far back as their first appearance in 1990."
I personally agree with the article. I have been defending the rights of fruit swallowing dinosaurs for years.
I think one of the benefits is for people who prefer a controller. Having a controller that acts as a mouse can in theory make the aiming of a gun more accurate. But it will also allow those people to play real time strategy games, which do not work on a traditional controller.
I've never had a problem like this in my ten + years as a PC gamer. So a brand new game you've never played is the reason you've never tried PC gaming? That makes so much sense. And consoles have never gotten a bad port before, Skyrim, cough, cough, PS3, cough. Based on your logic I shouldn't be a console gamer.
Among the PC community it is common knowledge that a PC system aiming for 1080p 60 FPS is going to cost less long term than a next gen console barring the Wii U of course. PS4 owners have to pay $50 a year for online. That's an extra $350 on top of that $400 for six years of PSN = $750 for PS4 & $850 for Xbone. You add in the lower cost of games, i.e., Steam sales, Humble Bundle and Amazon Mayhem sales, and the cost of PC gaming is significantly cheaper.
edit: for $75...
This is what Nintendo always does. They know a huge drought is coming so they throw the fans a bone. They make it seem like there are all these great games coming, but in reality there are only one or two first party titles coming out for Wii U per year. They announced Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Bayonetta, Super Mario Word 3d and X a long time ago, yet only one of them released last year. If Smash Bros or any of the previously mentioned games are Nintendo's big holiday releases this year how...
I think every point made in the article was spot on. Although I feel Ocarina had better dungeon design. Still, I played them all, loved them all and will continue to support this franchise because it always delivers.
I was hoping they would show some of the other AMD cards performance with mantle. Like the R9 270 and 280 as well.
This is the best article I have read in ages. And I am not just talking about video game articles. I am fascinated with idea behind this game. And I can relate more than I want to admit with the themes being explored here. Wow.
I find the title of the game very intriguing as well. Oscar. And the game's protagonist is a female? Did I miss something or is the meaning of the title being kept under wraps for now? Tell me more.
*edit* I just read another art...
I'm interested. I'll definitely keep my eye on this one.
That trailer did absolutely nothing for me. I hope there are some heavy RPG elements in this game otherwise I will probably pass. Reboots and sequels need to push the boundaries. I don't want a game that is too similar to its previous incarnations.
Hack and slash loot games are still popular. Gauntlet needs to at the very least adopt that modern convention. Hell, make it a team based dungeon crawler with cooperation being the focus. In other words make it a game where yo...
Resident Evil 4 is possibly my favorite game of all time. I played it on the PS2, and fell in love with it. Then I bought it on the Wii and loved it even more. And I will gladly get it one more time on PC. It's just a matter of finishing the games I am playing first.
I actually completely agree with this list. He never once says the games are inherently bad, he just says that they are overrated. As someone who owns every single game mentioned I have to agree. None of these games are bad, but none of them deserve the accolades they receive in my opinion. I would probably exempt minecraft from the list though. Minecraft is fun.
I played through all three Uncharted games, and while I did like the stories, I thought the gameplay was par for t...
