Yeah, because Forbes knows all about video games.
Let's forget about how the video game market on the whole is still on shaky ground with devs still dropping like flies.
Oh yeah, and Sony is doing so great right now.
Wasn't Nintendo down for the count back in the 90's?
Yeah, there's not enough room for everyone in this industry. Somebody's going to get burned bad in this business, but I'm worried about Ninte...
Actually, from what I understand, Nintendo let them do what they wanted to do. And they actually "liked" working for Nintendo.
There was little to no oversight on Goldeneye and so I'm not really sure where you're coming from.
I'm mostly talking about the tendency for the first shipments of consoles that seem to crap out after a year or so. My 360, Ps3, all broke shortly after I bought them. Maybe you guys didn't hear about all those problems. Even my Wii's disk drive went out after a few years.
Apple's the same way, though I don't have any of their products right now.
There's not much support until after the first year as well, so I think I have a pretty go...
lol
No, Nintendo tells me what I want out of WiiU... not the other way around.
Why are "analysts and critics" trying to influence what we want out of Nintendo. If they had their way Nintendo would've stopped making hardware after N64.
Just keep bringing the games, and I'll keep showering you with money.
Translation:
"yeah, we remember a time when we made games that people gave a shit about. We'd really love to do something like that but right now we're slaves to Kinect and we're doing our best to do whatever Microsoft tells us... so don't hold your breath. oh yeah!.. and thanks for rubbing it in."
Aww.. isn't that sweet...
Like any system... not till there's a price drop
I'm more worried about Sony and MS at this point.
I think that's why people can't stay away from Nintendo.
"Oh no! if any company goes down, it will probably be Nintendo, because they aren't as good as my brand!!"
Same old song and dance.
Well, apparently you don't remember the rrod days.
How many millions of 360 consoles are "replacements".
I would guess 6 million at the least.
We'll be lucky if it plays Ps3 games.
I wasn't too terribly impressed with Sony's announcement.
Sure the games look awesome, but it's not something I can't wait on, especially for 600 bucks and up...
I think they're in better position than MS right now though.
Anybody who touts XBox sales numbers are ignorant to the millions of those consoles sold as "replacements" from all the broken systems.
Except at least 1/3 of those "sales" figures are simply replacement consoles.
whammy
That's because they are copies of Nintendo. They have extremely high tech hardware, but you're missing the point. Sony doesn't really make games so they have to overcompensate on the hardware. Even after the SNES, Sony still implements the same controller, only with analogue sticks. That's the real irony here.
You should be afraid. Sony is going under.
*sniff*
*sniff*
I smell fear.
Be not afraid. It is the anti-Nintendo crowd that need be worried. Can't you smell the stench of death?
How many millions of sales in XBox consoles do you think were just replacements? I think if you're going to pick sides you should acknowledge that Microsoft have really shot themselves in the foot with consumers. How many XBox fans go for Sony only because their Xbox malfunctioned? I'm not sure consumers trust the "XBox" brand like they should.
Hey!! I'm all for the American brand. The way they handled the Japanese market is laughable.
But hon...
That would be nice, but I'm sure Sony and Microsoft would pay money for it "not" to be released on Nintendo.
Bungie is going all in on this game, so it would make sense to release it to as big of an audience as possible...
...with Nintendo's luck for the last 15 years with regards to 3rd party support...
Survey says!!... ----> - X -
This is "Nintendo Enthus...
I want all of them to do well.
Unfortunately, I don't really see how an industry on the decline is going to do well with 2 powerhouse machines being released simultaneously. I like them all for different different reasons, I wish there was room for everyone.
With so much emphasis graphics, (the main driver for development costs) why should I be hopeful?
-Sony sells best in Japan.
-Microsoft sells in the States.
-Nintendo splits the share...
I like the 3ds, it's really taking off as well.
I'm just not that in to mobile gaming.
My idea of mobile gaming is carrying around my android or laptop.
I'd like to get one if they came out with a brand new Zelda, even though I haven't played Minish Cap or HourGlass. Ironically, my favorite Zelda is Link's Awakening.
If anything, the "WiiU hate" only sells more WiiU's.
Nintendo hasn't even gotten started promoting their system.
I still have yet to see a WiiU advertisement anywhere except youtube.
