I see your point although, it’s not entirely accurate. Microsoft had a chance to rule the PC market when apple was tanking and struggling in the late 90’s. Then somebody came in and injected apple with funds to restructure and avoid bankruptcy. That somebody was Microsoft.
Everyone was criticizing Sony for not pushing for the BB remake. Turns out they gave it the green light. The original still holds up really well
I’m always rooting for the underdog. It was ps3 back in late 2000. I was cheering WiiU after that, and now I’m still hoping Xbox can get their isht together. Competition is crucial.
He’s referring to “native” output and ignoring the upscaling. 90% of these nintendon’ts clamored for a “better performing switch” only to pretend it’s not what they asked for. If they were to play this game without seeing hair, they couldn’t tell the difference.
Yea and the ps2 was mainly a cheap DVD player at the time, which “isn’t fair!!”
Coming up with 5 million ps2 unit sales decades later as switch approaches is laughable.
What’s the point of digital in a box?! Makes no sense except to display a digital game in your house.
Not really. Switch 2 is a little behind. I’d say between ps4 pro and ps5 in terms of power. Like a ps4.75.
They aimed just high enough to run ps5 games with a little less performance
They’ll likely allow you to toggle the hint system much like its predecessors. I think retro has proven itself many times over with their ability to deliver a premium product. Nothing can be more annoying than Navi interrupting gameplay on the best rated game of all time
Square has said switch can handle rebirth and ps4 can not, so, not quite
Sure act like it
Always fun to see trolls first in comments. I can remember back in the ps1 days when Nintendo fanboys harped on graphics and Sony preached “more games.” “But ps2 is also a DVD player!!”
Then ps3 comes out and suddenly gimmicks are something to complain about.
It all just depends on where the wind blows.
Are you like 12 ?
I don’t understand the key card controversy. Even 20 year old Wii games can be redownloaded. I’ve heard of broken cartridges and scratched discs and then they have to buy the game again. Fun to watch the never Nintendo fans flood N4G rather than play their so superior games. This site never changes. I’ll buy a S2 for the FF remake trilogy. Only reason why they’re multi-plat is because it’s not selling on Sony
The cost as is for 64gb is around $15 per game. You’re looking at $20 for 100gig cart. Much more reasonable than the ghastly Vita memory card fiasco.
And if roles were reversed you would predictably be praising Sony for a portable option
Yea, look how the hair looks so different .. so inferior
So basically better hair on the ps5
Yet the Ferrari only seems to have better hair, and it’s barely noticeable.
I think it bothers Sony fans because perfectly reasonable comments about S2’s performance gets downvoted. At least we know who is hyping up ps6, since a handheld is actually able to perform close to its predecessor.
When the trilogy drops, I will make the S2 leap. Not there yet. I’ll wait. I promised myself I wouldn’t play any of them until it’s complete.
Yea 100 million sold and most gamers are using it to play ps4 games. There’s about 5 exclusive ps5 games with metacritic scores of 85% or more. After 6 years, that’s pretty sad. I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. The generation was forgettable and it’s why serious gamers that are concerned with performance and visuals do PC. PlayStation 6 will be a hybrid handheld because they don’t want to be left out, and what real innovation has Sony ever really achieved?
