This article is extremely redundant.
Who are they trying to convince?... people who are scared that Nintendo is coming back?
Why would Sony go third party?
The Playstation brand rose on the backs of third party developers, that's all they have.
Well, I do like LBP... and Killzone, but I'm not a big fan of their software.
But yes, I'm more worried about Sony than any of them. To be honest, Sony's the only one I could tolerate getting out of the console business, that's just my view.
It's not that they're too smart or they dont care. Nintendo is reliable. They make more money on software than anybody. If a software company can't spend the dollars to market their game on Nintendo, then they're asking for their game to get buried.
Nintendo knows what their fans want.
Let's face it, when you have such a devoted fanbase, there's just no room for other developers. It's a double-edged sword.
I'm excited!! They need to announce already!
This years E3 is going to be epic.
Maybe it's just me, but discussing music compatibility on a video game console seems tragically ironic.
It will be mine... oh yes! It will be mine...
Yeah, that's just being lazy. If you can't conjure up some decent A.I. then you just want to save money.
Now, if you want to implement A.I. along with an online community, that's different. Not everyone who games, plays online! I don't think you should shut out the solo gamer demographic, but to be honest I haven't even read the article yet... :)
You mad bro?
Call me what you will, Nintendo already knows what we want which is why they dont disappoint. Maybe you prefer the same games, same controllers, same boring gameplay eyecandy... There will always be a shepherd for you there.
It'll be ok. I'm sure they'll have another 6 Assassins creed and cod games for you. Since that's what "real" gamers want.
HA!! You better be scared!!
Just like Michael Jordan had us all brainwashed that he was a good basketball player!!
whammy!
It's more like Nintendo fans know they're getting their money's worth when they buy Nintendo software.
I'm not sure what IP's you prefer, but I think it would be disingenuous to say that those are all we care about. I play ME, RE, COD, Resistance, Dead Space, Halo, Gears, Drake, Crysis, they're all good, but they're all strikingly similar.
Activision didn't make money on "Boom Blox"... until they marketed the game. ...
You better hope so.
You want to see what collapse looks like?
I'd like to direct you to 'Vita' for further thoughts on your "analysis".
Just so you know, if Sony depended on video game sales alone, there would be no Ps4.
just sayin
Sounds like the ramblings of a man in fear of losing his console preference. Or he's mad that WiiU has the better version of the game.
Either way, this Calvin character should do more "reporting", it amuses me.
If anything, the "WiiU hate" only sells more WiiU's.
Nintendo hasn't even gotten started promoting their system.
I still have yet to see a WiiU advertisement anywhere except youtube.
Yeah, because Forbes knows all about video games.
Let's forget about how the video game market on the whole is still on shaky ground with devs still dropping like flies.
Oh yeah, and Sony is doing so great right now.
Wasn't Nintendo down for the count back in the 90's?
Yeah, there's not enough room for everyone in this industry. Somebody's going to get burned bad in this business, but I'm worried about Ninte...
Actually, from what I understand, Nintendo let them do what they wanted to do. And they actually "liked" working for Nintendo.
There was little to no oversight on Goldeneye and so I'm not really sure where you're coming from.
I'm mostly talking about the tendency for the first shipments of consoles that seem to crap out after a year or so. My 360, Ps3, all broke shortly after I bought them. Maybe you guys didn't hear about all those problems. Even my Wii's disk drive went out after a few years.
Apple's the same way, though I don't have any of their products right now.
There's not much support until after the first year as well, so I think I have a pretty go...
lol
No, Nintendo tells me what I want out of WiiU... not the other way around.
Why are "analysts and critics" trying to influence what we want out of Nintendo. If they had their way Nintendo would've stopped making hardware after N64.
Just keep bringing the games, and I'll keep showering you with money.
Translation:
"yeah, we remember a time when we made games that people gave a shit about. We'd really love to do something like that but right now we're slaves to Kinect and we're doing our best to do whatever Microsoft tells us... so don't hold your breath. oh yeah!.. and thanks for rubbing it in."
Say what you will, Sony and Microsoft don't have an empire of first party titles, because they're not video game companies.
Nintendo will always have their niche. I think Sony and Microsoft can't make the same mistakes that they did with their previous consoles.
I'm going to wait at least a year after the "big launch" before I even pick one of them up for several reasons. Which is why I'm going to get a WiiU this Summer...
