I see your point. There's consequences for being in first place. You should be made to suffer just as much as everyone else.
That's the WAY IT IS HOMZ!!
Tell me about it.
It's unfortunate that because Sega joined with Nintendo, then went multiplat, and Sonic fans are now mostly playing Nintendo, it's not enjoyed by more fans. It's like since Sega didn't go with Sony or MS, they somehow "betrayed" the "hardcore" gamer, so they don't need Sonic anymore. ... rubbish...
And we wonder why decent video-games are becoming more fewer and farther between. The only games I'...
You mean a PC?
Awww... isn't it cool to kick Nintendo while they're about to turn things around?
"Last chance?"
MS and Sony have a lot of work to do to recoup their losses from last generation. That's what this is all about. MS investors want to drop the XBox brand because it has yet to yield any profit whatsoever.
Nintendo can still roll with the big boys, and it's not fair.
This article is one big tantrum, that&...
They smell a WiiU turnaround and want to mitigate any momentum it gets going into the holidays.
(In their minds) If WiiU turns around, other hardware suffers.
Wii was a spectacular financial success... and Nintendo mustn't be allowed to do as well as they have been.
3ds will promote the superior WiiU version, if they're as good as they are looking. It builds more hype, especially if 3ds Smash is well recieved, which it will be. It gives 3ds fans a taste to entice them to get a WiiU.
That's my take.
Why release the inferior version of a game with a larger install base later? It would canabalize the WiiU version.
If anything, the 3ds version will be watered down, which is why it is releasing first. WiiU Smash releasing during the holidays benefits the game and the system, which benefits WiiU owners and Nintendo themselves, because it'll have more hype around it with everyone enjoying the 3ds version.
WiiU will be a sleeper hit this year, albeit a small one. Depends on their marketing strategy, as this year gives Nintendo every reason to go all in.
Console sales w...
They've been dragging their feet, and they're still paying for it. A lot of Nintendo's greatest games go unnoticed because they've neglected the online community. Metroid Prime 3 not selling a million at Wii's height is a good example.
Not "could", it will.
Though I will concede Nintendo deserves much of the criticism it's getting.
Uh, theres also 3D world, Tekken Tag, COD, Rayman Legends, Batman and every Wii game that ever came out. A lot of games are super cheap.
WiiU is the most underrated console in history.
I love 90% of all Star Wars games. The Rogue Squadron series was one of a kind. Bounty Hunter, Battlefront, Jedi Outcast, KotOR, were all fabulous games.
Lucas did a good job destroying the Star Wars series. Disney's been doing good with Marvel, and JJ Abrams is an excellent filmmaker.
I have high optimism for the future.
Haters gonna hate.
Yes, WiiU is doing horrible, but so is Vita, and they are both extremely strong consoles.
Nintendo knows how to make money off of video games. That's what this is really about.
Politics
Better to make fun of WiiU's popularity than talk about Nintendo's reputation of making money off of their "failures" and "anomolies".
Satire is used to make you feel better about yourself.
I wonder if a satiracal article with a Vita equivelent would be tolerated on n4g.
Or would that be considered "lame".
I like "limited" items that change the atmosphere more than take over the match, like smoke balls, punching bag, mr. saturn, maybe soccer balls to shake things.
They can be a nice detail.
Indubitably
You and more than half of all gamers. Don't you know this is the frontlines of mindless video game console wars!!
You know how this works!! Ps4 has BETTER graphics than NINTENDO AND XBOX!!!
...
It's all about "GAMEPLAY"...
I'm inclined to believe the WiiU version will outshine all others.
They've got one of the best development teams in Europe. The're going to do it justice. I'm glad they're not competing with MarioKart 8. WiiU is going to have an even better year than the last.
I was thinking that the 3ds would build more hype for the WiiU version.
Releasing WiiU first would kill that version as soon as the 3ds version released.
And everybody agrees that same day release would be idiotic.
I think it was a no brainer.
It's definitely the smartest way to go. That doesn't mean automatic success of course.
"For Glory" MarioKart?...
why not?
But where's the fun in that? Wouldn't it just be every other kart racing game?
I just want to play it already.
