Ha!! The two systems that mocked the PS3 and they'll live a much shorter life than it. I have all 3 systems: the 360 is going to go off for repairs thanks to the dreaded RROD. Ha!! I knew i had to buy my PS3 when I heard they were taking out the Emotion Engine and putting in a backwards emulator. I still have a huge library of PS2 games (i'm playing KH again)and I want to make sure that all of them are compatable.
I agree with the posts above. I think the HD-DVD people saw the public as idiots and that the next gen in entertainment will win as long as it's cheap. but people are smarter than that. the public read the specs on blu-ray vs hd-dvd. they knew that hd-dvd was incredibly limited while blu-ray is working on a 100gb and even a 200gb disk capacity. in the long run, people don't want to upgrade to next-generation in 4 or 5 years...they wanted something, like DVD's, that will be around for abo...
I'm a smart idiot (not an oxymoron in this case). I purchased my HD-DVD player 2 days ago when Microsoft decided to bring the price down to $50. LOL, I just bought one on Best Buy! Dude, for $50 buckeroonies, what the hell; I was thinking about getting an upscaler dvd player for the bedroom anyways and this came along!! Besides, I get 5 free HD-Dvd movies and they're worth more than the actual player. Honestly, who cares if it's going to be obsolete. You're getting a terrific dvd-upscaler that just happens to play HD-DVDs.
HA! From those of us that saw Blu-Ray's victory from the start, it's good to spread the word out that there won't be another VHS vs BetaMax war and so much money wouldn't be wasted. I mean, honestly, HD-DVD technology would last, what, 4...5 years tops whilst Blu-Ray would have 10 years or maybe more. It's good that consumers didn't fall for the lower technology/price and decided to stick with something future-proof.

I've been a victim of racism...and I'm WHITE!! Playing COD4, I play against unruly players who have very small respect for their fellow gamers (blasting your crap music through your earpiece?? I got myself a 60gb version for the following reasons:
-Backward Compatability: I still have lots of PSOne and PS2 games that I play and I want Emotion Engine power, not an emulator or nothing at all.
