I don't get why people are crying and moaning so much. I paid full price for L4D and it's quite possible one of the most fun multiplayer games I've ever played. I honestly feel I've gotten my money's worth and was even happier that Valve released 2 extra Versus maps along with the new Survival mode for......FREE! Every person that I've spoken to while playing L4D has been really excited for this game because of the fact that we've enjoyed the original so much and would love to see new weap...
I get it just fine, and I also get that Valve is a business that wants to make money and let's face it, downloadable content is nowhere near as profitable as releasing a brand new game. Let's look at Rockband. There's no reason why we should buy game discs by themselves when we could just as easily download songs or song packages. It's ridiculous but they need $ and as long as the fish keep biting, let them fish.
I spent $60 on this game and it was worth every penny. Why? I play it every night and enjoy every single moment of it. The fact that we got additional contant FOR FREE was ok in my book.
Valve, I'll be there on day 1 to buy L4D2...if it's as good and enjoyable as the first, I'll gladly pay another $60. I've purchased games at that same price that have gotten a fraction of actual gameplay because damn it, they're not as fun as this game.

My 360 had the RRoD 1 year ago. I remember when I called in the problem, a few days later, the shipping box arrived. I was really busy with work and didn't have time to ship it out and Microsoft called me every other day to keep tabs on my shipping status (it was actually pretty thoughtful more than annoying). Finally I sent it in and less than 10 days later, my 360 returned in great shape and I was able to play Dead Rising (the game I was playing when the RRoD struck) with no problems. ...
COD4:MW sold like hotcakes since day 1 and it only grew in popularity with positive word-of-mouth. I'm 100% sure that MW2 will be one of the fastest selling games in gaming history...no doubt! 2009 is unbelievably one of the greatest years for games and it will only be better when MW2, L4D2, and Bioshock 2 come out. It's going to be a busy, busy year.
