I am too puzzled as to why it can't be shipped without it. Surely they could include it on a disc that way people with no access to the net can install it. Me and my bro are both getting one at launch but he will have to bring it past my house when he picks it up to use my internet to download the patch. Not a huge fuss but still seems unnecessary
The only Halo that GT5 didnt outsell was Halo 3. The best selling Gears game was Gears 2 with 6.63 million outsold the best selling Uncharted game which was Uncharted 2 with 6.22 million sales. All figures were very close though. A lot of people forget (myself included) just how popular GT games are. I didn't realize GT 5 sold over 10 million copies. I knew it sold well but not that well. GT 3 is the best selling GT game and it has sold more globally than any Halo game.
Except the PS2 didn't compete with the N64 the PS1 did. The PS2 competed against Nintendo GameCube and Original Xbox

Its been the topic of much debate here for years. Essentially we have been paying double to the US market for many years now. Reasons have varied for why we pay so much and often the goverment contradicts itself on the matter. Not to sure about salaries in other countries so I can't compare them with ours

Try paying for them in Australia. Games coming out here were $119.95 at the start of the last gen. As the years have past retailers have had to lower there prices or offer them a bit cheaper at launch to compete with overseas prices and eBay. At the moment $89 is the average but some times we get lucky. I picked up Hitman absolution and Crysis 3 close to realease for $69.

How could you not know. From 2001 - 2007/8 Halo was the biggest thing in gaming. It wasn't until Modern Warfare was released that the COD series became the force that it is now

There will be plenty of players on both systems for one to enjoy the game online. COD sells way more on 360 but I have never heard of people complaining on PSN that there is no one online to play with.
