@rainslacker
Agreed. My oldest son has a 360 in his room with kinect but I've got the parental lock on so he can't go online. He keeps asking to play halo and other games online but I won't let him. I don't want him exposed to some of the nonsense you hear and the abuse people spout in games.
It may very well have one. Thing is it won't be a requirement for the console to function. The Xbox one will not work unless you connect to the net and download the update
Next step is to get rid of the stupid day one patch or put it on a disc and include it in the box. People who don't have the net might find it a hassle to take the Xbox somewhere and hook it up to the net to get the patch rather than just taking it home and enjoying some games
@joecanada
Not sure where you are getting your numbers from. Check out VG chartz ( easy to find type VG chartz in Google) search for Halo and you should find these figures current as of 24th August 2013.
Halo 3 11.79 million copies global sales
Halo Reach 9.45 million copies global sales

Haha I've got kids that have reached puberty mate. There is an if. There is a and and there is a but. Last of us is pretty yes. But it is in no way better looking than any next gen game. Like I said it is a nice looking game and for what it is and the fact its running on a 7 year old console is a testament to the talented studio and developers that made it.But there is more to next gen games than just frame rates and polygon counts. Wait til next gen games actually come out and you see th...
Yeah sorry saying CGI was inaccurate. But In engine does not mean in game. There will be a difference. Many games show in engine graphics and the in game graphics don't match. Anyone remember the in engine Madden trailer that was shown for the 360 back in 2005?? In game was drastically different
Lol at all the fanboys on here saying last of us looks better than next gen games. Its a pretty game yes but take the Sony blindfolds off will you. There will come a time in life when you will go through a thing called puberty. Your body will undergo some drastic changes. And over the years your mind and how you view life will also change. Once you reach this point your mind will become clearer to many things in life and you will realise how ridiculous you sound.
Single player is 30fps, I think its only the MP that was running at 60fps and even that was quoted as being a "soft 60fps" meaning it could fluctuate from 30-60fps
The only thing shown from the Order was a CGI trailer. Let's keep this relevant to games we have actually seen in game graphics on like the first 3 you mentioned
Just read over at ign.com that Australia is getting FIFA free with Xbox one pre orders now aswell
@edgeofsins
"I see far more people here that like the ds3 more"
You don't say. More people on n4g prefer a Sony controller over the 360 one. Why should we be surprised. I think you should take a look at the MLG pro controller. Looks awfully familiar to the 360 controller. I wonder why that would be. Maybe because outside of this website is a big wide world where not everybody is a Sony fanboy
"In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117 aka Master Chief, confronts a battery of new challenges and tests in a herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted"
Wonder if they are talking about the chip he had around his neck. Cause I assumed that was cortanas dead chip.
I was never a fan of the dualshock controllers and always preferred the Xbox controllers especially the 360 one. But seeing the ds4 controller I can tell straight away that most of my gripes with it look to have been fixed. Will be interesting to see what one feels better once I get my hands on them.
One soft princess who's hands have probably never seen a hard days work in his life whinges about a mark left on his thumb. Man the f#$k up dude. My thumbs have been to hell and back especially on old school fighting games like Mortal Kombat, Tekken and Street Fighter. the old SNES and PS1 d pads werent too gentle. don't think I'll have a problem.
Thanks Walter. Glad someone cleared that up for me ;-)
@MariaHelFutura
Specs: PS4 (Yes specs on paper they are in Sony's favour, lets just see if that translates onto the screen this gen)
Multiplats:PS4 (Subjective Opinion. Why not wait til both consoles are out and compare side by side)
Restrictions: PS4 (Cant argue there)

F2P: PS4 (At launch yes PS4 does have the edge)
Price: PS4 (Yes ...
Finally someone who understands it. Honestly what do people prefer. My controller starts flashing and then dies, I get up take the 2 batteries out my controller grab my other 2 from the charger put them in the controller and place flat ones in charger and then sit back down and continue on. Not to much different than plugging in the charge cord for the ps3 controller except I'm not restricted in the distance I can sit from my TV and there's no cords across my living room for my kids t...
@Kingthrash360
"Is batteries in controllers good? Nope"
I'm sorry maybe you prefer the old days with wired controllers.
Every controller has batteries, I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you. One has removable the other in built. No different than most mobile phones on the market have removable batteries and I phones have in built. Not hard to stick a couple of AA recharables in One controller. I'd rather that than having to rep...
@Kingthrash360
And what are sonys controllers powered by I ask you. If not a battery maybe something else. Must be magic.....yep I bet that's it.
Yes and no. People with no access whatsoever should stay away from it unless they put a patch on a disc and include it in the box. My brother has already paid for his Xbox one and he has no internet. He is just bringing it over to my house and using mine to download the patch and then taking it home. A slight inconvenience but still one that can be avoided
