If it was exclusive, the franchise would start to die a very quick death. It cannot sustain itself without PlayStation and that's exactly why it ISN'T exclusive.
Well... that and it was in the contract to keep releasing it on PlayStation for the next 10 years. Something tells me nothing will change in 10 years, contract or otherwise. You just don't drop PlayStation if you want your 3rd Party game to sell.

Complain to, and about, that company before throwing shade at a company who doesn’t have an issue with exclusive releases. STALKER is exclusive to Xbox for 3 months because Microsoft paid to keep it off PlayStation, completely invalidating your original point.

No one “pretended” anything. He said PlayStation’s year was better than Xbox’s. And he’s right. If all they had were flops, then you bringing up Concord out of context would make more sense. Xbox didn’t have an Astrobot/Helldivers II to also look at this year and that’s the difference. It’s biggest games were already largely forgotten.
Sony never said this year would be light. They said light on 1st Party sequels.
They’ve delivered plenty of games this year, however. Published Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade, released Astrobot (easy GOTY contender), Concord (yes, it failed - every company has one of these from time to time), Helldivers II (one of the biggest games of the year), The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Until Dawn Remake, and secured 3rd Party exclusives like FFVII, Ronin, and Silent Hill 2....
