yea, this does look great. but i miss leon especially because of the way 4 ended. i hope 5 (in some way) gives us a clue as to where the end of 4 is going to lead.

many movie critics didn't like the end of "return of the king" and that didn't hurt the overall quality of the movie-it won best picture. i think you're over-reacting.

i can see dd being very useful for rental movies. i use netflix, and if they ever get a system running where ALL movies can be downloaded to rent, then i am def. on board. however, if i find a movie that i like enough that i want to own, it has to be a physical disc. i buy blu-ray now, but if movie only comes on dvd, then i'll buy that. too many people are like me in that regard. if they love certain movies, they just don't want a download. they want the physical ownership. they want the box-...

i hope gears has a story, better weapons(chainsaw isn't new anymore) 8 player co-op, also, more varied enemies and more than levels made up of rubble strewn steets and buildings.
no way i forget R2. insomniac said it would be at least a 3 game story, so i won't be forgeting it. but i will say KZ2 looks to be a new benchmark in war games.
resistance1 story was great. i wish they'd make a big budget movie of it. and the way it ended....can't wait to find out what happens next. and gears, while fun, had little story. knowing the strengths of both insomniac and epic, it wouldn't be a stretch to say resistance 2's continuation of R1 story will be great while gears 2 story will be, at best, mediocre.
but i buy some of my blu-rays on amazon. sometimes new ones are buy one-get one free or a deal like that.or i look at the used blu-rays being sold by video stores. i got golden compass for 17 dollars; 300 for 15 dollars.
but i agree with your view of retail price. it needs to come down to the 14-18 dollar point to start. this puts a sale at $9-10. (and even cheaper for used copies)
