weaker line-up?? hmmmmmmm......i don't think so.....for people buying a console this holiday, a ps3 with MGS4, resistance2, socom, MS:PR, LBP would be pretty sweet. plus HD movie playback and free online play.
really, on xmas day, getting a 360 and finding out you can't play online without paying is like getting a battery-powered toy with batteries not included.

watching the trailer; i was getting an all too familiar "been there-done that" feeling about this game. it appears to be more of the same silent hill action. this isn't necessarily bad; but, when you've played them all.....another formulaic SH may come off as average at best.
that article was laughable. it just announces dd is taking over and blu-ray is just "short term"? the author doesn't give any details on this miraculous transfer from disc to dd. storgage and bandwidth issues are big questions but what about the large percentage of the population who have no access to high-speed internet of any kind?

first, GOW refers to god of war. and since your link is for gears of war...that's a little misleading.
second...those gears shots aren't "in-game". they're touched up shots that look waaaaaaay better than the actual game. gears1 did this too. your score for this site isn't a 1000 yet, so i can understand the confusion.....but as far as the real, in-game footage and screens are concerned.... KZ2 is much better looking than gears2.
i might agree with that if gears2 looked even HALF as good as KZ2. but it doesn't. KZ2 whips gears2. so your comment fails.
i've been waiting on sony to release this. definitely picking this up.
the game as it exists today surpasses the '05 trailer. that video had too much of a "cartoony" feel.
KZ2 now has a gritty, violently visceral feel to it. so many more little details in the game today that the '05 video didn't show. and the death animations in the game today put the '05 trailer to shame. and honestly tell me the cloak the helghan sniper uses isn't impressive. the particle effects are 100% better...yikes! there isn't a game anywhere that looks better. how you t...

and when ms talks about the GTA dlc.....then exclusive content DOES matter. so hypocritical.
KZ2,ratchet and clank, resistance, jak and daxter, wardevil, uncharted, MGS, LBP.....wow, sony wins the exclusive battle easily. no wonder ms says they aren't important.

as long as the game continues the story from the first one i'll be happy. what really bugs me about resistance 2 is not being able to carry more than 2 weapons. that ain't cool! i'm looking forward to the squad combat in 60 player multi and 8 player co-op. really, i think both gears2 and resistance 2 are going to offer fun experiences in their own unique ways. but the only thing i was trying to explain in my above post is that all games have issues.(except KZ2...that sh1t looks insane good..H...
i'm not sure why anyone would disagree with you. you have a right to an opinion. you really haven't said anything that relevant to resistance however. the first game was great because of : innovative weapons; GREAT storyline; and huge battles. i liked the artstyle of the game but i never thought it was a game that survived on looks alone.(like gears1 did) "your pictures" mean nothing however. don't see the point to them. those pictures don't tell if you were at PAX or not.(people do...

and you say DMC4 didn't have anything new? neither did NG2. same bad camera; same cheap/cheesy bosses; framerate issues...etc...
of these three games(NG, GOW, DMC) NG series is the biggest "button-masher" of the three. no question about it.
