i might buy an arcade if i knew ms was going to support the platform. but 360 has been out 3 years in nov. and first xbox was out only 4 years before ms pulled the plug. couple this fact with microsoft being very vague(at best) about their future plans and i'm going to wait. if arcade is going to be 200 soon....then i'm sure it'll be 99$ within next couple of years.

gears has a story? no flaming.....but, other than "aliens come out of ground and attack humans"....what is there? hopefully part 2 will bring more than that to the story. i've said before - i'd like to see more info/background on the locust horde.
i don't like valve and i own a ps3 but....this game looks so freakin fun! this is the game to own for 360 in '08. i hope it eventually comes to ps3. even if it doesn't, this game still looks great and the fun factor on this seems to be through the roof. gears2 and fable may get the buzz, but this is the 360 game i'm veeeeery impressed with.

if (as the article says) i think about ps3 games 2 years after KZ2.......i think my head will explode from the possibilities.
The next question isn't necessarily 'what will the next Xbox look like?' but 'will there even be one?'
this quote applies to sony as well. i'm really pleased with the ps3. i can always upgrade my HDD. and, as devs get more familiar with the system - any development issues should be much less of a problem. also, the hi-def movie playback is a useful feature as well.
with the 360, the 2 biggest issues are dvd9 and rrod. if ms could make the current hardware more reliable ...
7 is pretty much what i expected from this game. it wasn't a purchase for me. these kinds of games tend to get old fast.

the only thing that nintendo did this gen was make a different looking gamecube with a new controller plus slightly more power. the reason it sells is price. and the big N can thank sony and microsoft for that. if their boxes weren't so much more expensive than the wii; it(the wii) wouldn't look like such a great deal. the wii has sold 30 million on price alone.
if anything, sony and ms will have to consider cost on any next gen products because of the wii. and if this means the tech...

and my comment is informed and intelligent. toshiba has already FAILED trying to force hd-dvd onto the market when blu-ray had tremendous backing. now they're going to try and force higher res content on a public that is just now starting to embrace the current hi-def formats (720p, 1080i, 1080p). pleeeeeeeeeease.....think zoy, think.
it's hard to believe multiplayer will look so good! i'd say it's a day one purchase but i've already paid for it so i guess it's a "day one pick-up". maybe they'll release it a little early? (you listening GG?)
and that would be a "best-case scenario".
