you really need to give more info on what your problems were with the first game.

what does that mean? you didn't like it for what reasons?
it had a great story; great weapons and huge battles. yea, the graphics weren't super great but it was a launch title. but the game itself was very exciting/...
but post 3.2 is just too much common sense. and it seems too many people who come to this site are waaaaaaay lacking in that dept.
but i agree with you. i was surprised to see this "confirmation". who didn't know this? there is so much going to be offered with the game; co-op for the single- player campaign sounds a little redundant and unnecessary.
i don't know how many people are getting it but the sony ps3 blutooth headset is available sept. 30th. but i don't get mine till oct. 6 cause of the free shipping amazon offers holds it back a few days.
so, oct. for me is the headset, MS:PR, LBP, bioshock, then resistance 2 on nov. 4

and gears1 or 2 enviroments are just the same standard enviroments epic uses in ALL their games.
gears 1 or 2 looks like any other epic game. big, steroid freaks running around shooting aliens in a gothic world. someone needs to tell epic that stopped being new and fresh a loooooong time ago.
i guess you 360 fans gotta like it considering the pickings are pretty slim for the 360 this year.

only problem with this game: what do i do first? dive into the single player, multi-player or get a team together for 8 player co-op? this game is gonna be awesome!
this isn't EPIC games making this; it's insomniac. any game (ratchet or resistance) insomniac makes uses in-game engine for the cut-scenes as well. so it all looks amazing.
i see what you're trying to do but insomniac doesn't cheat by showing something that isn't representative of what the final product will be.
when dvd first came out, movies were averaging 29-34 dollars. but, the thing is; after awhile prices do come down. now dvds are 5-15 dollars.
same thing will happen for blu movies
i buy many of my blu discs on amazon. haven't paid more than 20 dollars for a movie yet.

i have to wait a few weeks for some blu-ray movies from netflix to be sent. and when i call and ask why..... they say demand is getting higher for blu movies. so, this article seems a little over-blown to me. "blu-ray hits the skids"?? come on...a little over-dramatic.
what good is "new" and "better" graphics if nobody is willing to enjoy them when they are available? too many people see a game engine or game (like crysis) once and after that they're looking four years down the road for something else? i do understand building these engines and tech to run them takes time.....it just seems like once new stuff is brought out; not enough games are made to take advantage of it.
