I played the beta and really can't get in to it. The graphics are poor, way too choppy, so many frame drops. And the game explains nothing, but not like "oh you gotta figure it out" and it's kinda fun. It's more like, this is boring. Expect to die, a lot. And then sit at a loading screen to start over. A lot.
Just not my kind of game I suppose.
A boring movie in 3D is still a boring movie.
A boring game in 3D (if it is boring) will still be boring.
It's the PS4 version of Elite Dangerous. Except No Mans Sky is less realistic, and covered in pastel colors.
It still looks fun though.
Yes, after playing the Witcher 3 on PC, it gives me a headache to play it on console with the low end graphics and especially the choppy frame rate.
It's night and day.
This is what makes the Ps4 vs. X1 graphics comparisons so funny to me. They are so similar with such minor differences, it's negligible. But compare it to live action on a good PC, and the difference is actually enormous, and suddenly the PS4 guys have a million things to say, o...
You got a link to that video?
@Bruce
99% of all video games ever, run better on PC. Source: Google just about any video game ever made.
"Installed Fallout 4 on an older computer...."
You answered your own question right there. Old computer does not equal new computer. Just like PS3 does not equal PS4. For example, my PC is more powerful than PS5 will be. You better believe Fallout 4 looks better on my screen than on your PS4.
Duh.
Well, there's a certain kind of fanboy here with extreme insecurity. Simply disagreeing with X1 getting a new game. Where only sales and writing huge meaningless lists of future games means more than personal preference and innovation. Kids these days...
A new game is always welcome. Can't wait for more details.
Triple post!!! Over 9000!!!
Double post!!!
@Stogz
"Stop being so one sided"
Perhaps you can re-read my comment, I pointed out the PS4 fanboyism, and went on to say "any other fanboy".
What is on discussion is who has be better lineup. Not the larger one.
Xbox has the clear win, in my opinion.
That's PS4 fanboys for you. Just like any other fanboy. All they care about is their checklist. not quality. They don't care about a gamers personal taste. Just a silly checklist. They'll probably play a tiny percentage of those games.
Just look at your disagrees for a valid question. All logic and reasoning out the window. Glad I don't play online with that group mentality.
X1 for the win, by a landslide. It's always X1.
Why are Ps4 guys always trying to downplay the games available on X1? Pathetic really. We get it, you love your PS4 games. We like ours too. Get over yourself.
Except X1. That lineup destroys PS4 for my taste.
Not sorry
And that first Oculus was nowhere near finished compared to the released version...
They already addressed the "screen door" effect.
Anyway, the PSVR sounds incredible. Here's hoping it is affordable.
I don't think Microsoft "blew it" this holiday season. There's nothing they could have done to close the 15million+ console gap. Catching up to Ps4 can't be their complete measure of success at this point, because it's not very likely.
@Eonjay
My comment has nothing to do with Luckey or his PR skills, not sure why you're replying "no" to me.
@UTH11
Well said, except I was referring to the recent negative publicity on its launch. Easy to sell all your stock when its limited supply, but I'm sure it will be successful nonetheless.
I'll speak with my wallet, but I don't want it to fail. They just need to make a few "corrections".
No gamer should want this to fail... Only fanboys would like that just to make sure "their" VR system has less competition.
This whole Oculus launch Doesn't seem to be going well. Just another stain on the VR hype train.
The one good thing about the $600 price, I won't be buying it anytime soon. So that will at least ensure I don't drop $600 if it flops within a year. Now I am forced to wait it out and see how it does.
I wouldn't enjoy a role playing game that wasn't very long. The whole idea is to take your time and build your character to a role you want to play, and spend hours using that character to complete missions.
