EAs figure came from 2015. So it's roughly 36 mil PS4, 19 mil X1. Stop inflating Sonys numbers
@Khaotic
LOL at your disagrees. It's basic math. PS4 insecurity runs deep.
Give it some time... I just started Ark, hated it because of the graphics and glitches. Played with my friends for a while anyways, and now I'm completely hooked. Conan game that is Ark style might be really cool.
@Dante
No X1 fanboy anywhere on this thread said anything about being on Par with PC. There are a number of comments from Ps4 fanboys believing the PS4 version is on par with, or will be better than PC. Just read the comments section here.
Oh, stating facts? Like 1.31 vs. 1.41 Tflops is being "ignorant". Could have been a typo or misunderstanding. It's not like this 1/10 of an error really makes the X1 seem so much more powerful. Why do you ...
The PC I built has a little extra snow...
Oh, and runs Oculus Rift, 1440p, 120fps, full immersion, no frame rate issues, free mod support, cheaper games, free online, way better controller support, peripherals, etc...
playing Star Citizen, I am seeing a game that looks BETTER than your next gen console game will look. I am playing this 5-7 years before that next gen console. So the "extra snow" on this one tiny little game is silly... But that...
@Flip
How did you cannibalize his comment in such a troll way to turn it in to a discussion on the X1's Tflops? 1.41 vs 1.31? Well oh my gosh, whatever shall we do?
The basis of his comment was the huge gap between console and PC. i.e. Console is not even 2Tflops, and a mid range PC (GTX970) is 4.6 Tflops. And how close the consoles really are in power. Then PS4 trolls describe these "massive" differences between X1 and PS4, but all of th...
Lennox,
No one is talking about the average consumer. We are talking about PC gamers and gaming PC's. The average consumer demographic has nothing to do with his discussion.
The "average consumer" also doesn't care about consoles or which one generally has a few more FPS than the other, much less do they even know what FPS stands for. Or what the 120Hz tv they have means. Most consumers don't even realize what a "console exclusi...
Lennox,
The price of the GPU vs. console is a great argument, there's no argument against it. You're halfway correct, The average PC "owner" does not know about a GPU, and they have an off the shelf PC that doesn't have a GPU, or know what one is. Most likely, their MOBO isn't even capable of accepting a GPU for most consumer friendly PC's. But this isn't what we are talking about. We are talking about purpose built gaming PC's and th...
@Lennox
You were so close to such a great comment! You hit on some great points!
PC is superior in power. "Nothing else"... Not so much, give credit where credit is do. It offers tremendous exclusives as well, and is UPGRADEABLE. The UPGRADEABLE part really entices me, because my PC can always be extremely powerful with minimal cost.
"Double the price of PS4", I'll give you that, IF you are talking about buildin...
@Masterfox
your comment insinuates all gamers originate from Sony. That's pretty close to one of the most fanboy comments made in a long time. You need a history lesson on consoles and gamers.
By your logic, we all hail from Atari, Sega and Nintendo. If it wasn't for them, PlayStation wouldn't exist, right? And for that matter, I guess it all goes back to PC.
So... Microsoft is the father of gaming? Fanboys and logic just...
The game doesn't matter anymore. This is the generation of pixel counters and FPS whores.
"In this one tiny instance for a split second, the PS4 ran at 26fps but the X1 ran a measly 24fps... So the PS4 version dominates. "
Lol.
@masterfox
No need to get that X1, we don't need gamers like you ruining our community.
So PC looks better than console, and both the console versions look identical. Same result, different game. Moving on.
Of course UBISOFT didn't learn their lesson! Everyone is still buying their games!!
Why in the world would they stop Bullshotting gamers if there is no consequence?!?!
LOL @ the disagrees. Those are all the PS4 guys over here, because "DX12" was mentioned.
@Kaizokuspy
My GPU was $350 and it runs about 5-6x better than PS4. Sorry bud.
It just looks like a screenshot from a cutscene, not "in-game".
It does look good even on my 1080p though, wish I could see the pics on a 4K screen.
The DK2 is more user friendly. They are (or were) for sale brand new directly from their website for $300. So unless he price got extremely inflated, I have no idea why people would buy a DK2 USED for $450. That doesn't seem right.
Either way, I would still wait for the consumer version though. It will have way more support and less bugs.
$450-$600 for a Used DK2?!? Thats not right.
You can buy one new directly from their website for $300.
Also, the DK2 is set up quite a bit better and more user friendly. But not nearly like the consumer version. The DK is the developers kit, after all. I wouldn't expect it to be publicly user friendly.
Bob is pretty cool.
If Hololens, Cloud, and DX12 are successful, I can't foresee PS4 remaining in the lead much longer TBH.
