You can hardly argue that many new games have gameplay that is inspired, they all tend to stick to what they know works.
Not for 10 years at least, look at how album sales on CD still account for 7 in 8 album sales. People overwhelmingly prefer the physical product.

Who's looking down on the 360? I love my 360. I just think Kinect is wasted on games consoles and outside of party games and mild usage is a bit of a blind alley for people wanting a bit more meat to the games they play.
In all fairness I'd hardly call an on rails shooter and a music based shooter 'core'. Come back when a fully fledged FPS, third person shooter or RPG are released that you can fully control with Kinect.
