This one didn't make any sense to me either. MotorStorm + 20 extra gigs is not worth 100 dollars. The pricing for 20 gigs is dirt cheap right now.... i actually have 5 ways to make this deal worth it or much sweeter.

i suck while using the sixaxis, i have more fun but i never finish 1st while using motion control. I always forget to move the wheel (or sixaxis remote) back to the straight standard position to get my car back in track.
Gran Turismo 5 should be here, It's the best selling franchise next to super mario and Pokemon. The sales of GT makes the sales of Halo, MGS, Zelda and Final fantasy look "decent". This franchise is THE system mover for sony's first party, so atleast a teaser or another GTHD demo would keep the fans remembering.

Maybe they should tried the Crash Bandicoot aproch and used very narrow and small platform levels instead of big huge areas (a la sonic adventures). Big wide areas plus super speed never did it for me, they need to make the 3d stages more narrow and straight forward like how the 2d sonic was. And also focus on speed instead of Guns, Vechicles and Choas control.
They need to make SF4 in TWO-D and HD, end of story. Make the visuals look like a freaking cartoon and develope a solid balanced fighting engine. Allow arcade, xbox live and PSN to play each other and we have a seller there (IMO atleast).
Honestly people, Sony can start worrying about Forza and PGR when all of them combined can get close to even ONE of the GranTurismo games. I like PGR and forza (i got a xbox just to play forza 1) as much as anyone else, but the sales of PGR 1,2,3 + Forza 1,2 is still LESS than the sales of the worst selling full granturismo game... which is actually GT4 @ 8.2 million copies sold. In terms of sales Forza and PGR can't even scrape the toenails of ANY of the 4 granturismo games. So this crap abo...
Sony has already said they'd give the GT studio as much as time as they want. If's sony's biggest franchise wants more time to make the game they envision then sony should let them do what they want. Every full granturismo game has sold more than 8 million (tops out at 13 million to be exact), yes this can move tons of ps3s but it's quality that's more important
My palm treo 700wx does that easily, i check my stocks, post comments on forums AND listen to Podcast as well as the iPhone can. Also the Sprint vision is faster than the edge. Now let me ask you this... can you watch direcTV through your iPhone and control the cable box from anywhere in the world without paying monthly fees??? No, atleast not yet. you are right about Microsoft having the ability to burn more money..., but your reasoning is wrong.
It's not the MarketCap you should be looking at, it's the cashflow and debt.... IBM has 3 times the market cap of sony but they are in no position to "throw money around" either. so BEFORE you get any more arrogant with the whole "I know what Market Cap is, and you don't", you should find out how stocks and company financials work in the first place.

(and dont take this wrong, im no fanboy, just adding some facts) Sony has not been losing $200 on every console sold, the production cost on the consoles sold in the UK was cut down due to not having the Emotion Engine and reduced cost & smoothing production of Bluray laser technology. I'm pretty sure the 439 price is not a typo (ps3 price is). Gamestop's standard price for the Wii is around 400-450 dollars, because they don't sell the Wii without having it be in some kind of bundle anymore. So that 439 actually includes a game, (maybe) extra controllers and other stuff. Gamestop does this so they can make more money by controlling the prices without having people question them since it's a bunch of stuff with different prices added together and the demand is so high.
and i guess the wii is going to be 439 dollars also.... someone is either trying to fan some flames or made two big typos, the 399 PS3 wont be here till after 2010 people. Put a cork in this rumor.
EDIT: ok my mistake, i think the 439 Wii isn't a typo. It's pretty much the average bundle price put on the Wii, since they only do bundle packs online and don't sell the system alone. But the PS3 being 399 is total BS, even gamestop admitted to it. So ONE typo was made, not two.
I don't expect this to last long... i believe it will be annoucned at e3 or holidays. The 360 (premium) is like 300 bux over there, i'm sure sony wants to pull out more than 10k a week.
