If you think about how much money Microsoft has poured into the internet over the last 15 years, for only middling success (in internet markets)... It is mind blowing.
I suspect this will be the end of Skype, just the same as it was the end of Hotmail way back in the day, and every other internet procurement since then.
This is why Yahoo also resisted being bought out by Microsoft...
For the same reason it is a low blow to talk about cross game chat and other social networking features that XBL has and PSN does not I suspect..

3d is in its death throws. Was at theater this weekend to see Thor... 2d Thor allocated to a single theater was sold out show after show. 3d Thor had two theaters, plenty of seats.
Finally the theaters will be getting the message and start to phase out 3d...

This looks like a job description for the PS4, not Sony's current offering. Getting webkit to work on the PS3 will take years, as Chrome has a number of process embedded in it that are absolutely antithetical to how the Cell and the PS3 operating system works...

This one time a buddy of mine wanted to be hard, so he went to a pool hall, picked a fight, then proceeded to totally get his butt whooped. I want a new console... But Microsoft is having their best year with the xbox 360 yet. Why would they release a new console???
Job postings don't really mean anything... They are not going to trust their new flagship game console to the new hires. The people they hire now are getting experience to work on the xbox 1440.
Microsoft is a huge company and they hire people all the time, and people resign and move on all the time. I seriously doubt they would leave the job descriptions they posted up to a single individual. There would be a team of both seasoned and new hires working on that proj...
