Just bought a few games for my vita this week. It's the funniest system to collect games for. Although now everyone charges double or triple prices for the games.
Backwards compatibility is definitely a positive. I love playing old playstation games on my current systems. But it seems they are doing it at the expense of developing new and fresh ideas. They seem to be throwing a lot of resources into it, more so than new games. It's a great feature though.
The most powerful handheld is an impressive feat for sure, but that's as much as I'll give it. Its cheaply built, and the games are still the same Nintendo franchises they've had for the last 40 years. They peppered in some mature third party stuff to stay relevant to the mature crowd, but at heart, it is aimed towards kids. Which is not a bad thing, but it's why i have moved on from Nintendo. I like the more story and action driven games offered nowadays, and could care less ...
It had a good run and has become one of my favorite consoles ever. Say what you want about memory cards or support from Sony, this system has its share of great games in its library, and some great exclusive titles.
They are actually doing better sales this gen, because without including the red ring consoles as sales, they probably sold like 25 million last gen. Actually, I stayed away from Microsoft this gen, because of the quality issues on the 360.
Open world gets boring real fast if the game is doing it for the sake of doing it. Some games are so lifeless and time consuming to traverse. When I see the words massive open world game, I am immediately sceptical. There have been a couple good open world games, but most of them are crap.
There is no reason. The fact of the matter is that there are games that you can get on both, but the games you can't get on both tilt heavily in playstations favor.
Kingdom hearts has its fans, but , for me, the games have always been terrible. Story, gameplay, have been overlooked because you can play with cool Disney characters. Not one redeeming quality from these games for me.
