Still have my original copy, bought in 1998, when people did not give a crap about Sega. No store had more than 2 copies in my area. One of the best RPGs ever and criminally overlooked because of the popularity of other games.
The xbonex is actually a pretty cool console with the backwards compatibility, power, and the 4k blurray stuff. The thing that kills it is the lack of compelling first party software. Most of the games it has can be played elsewhere. There's nothing really making the case to buy one. The immediate future doesn't look any better, as most of the unannounced games by their studios are still a long ways off. Maybe next gen.
The multilayer in anarchy reigns was extremely fun and chaotic. The story mode was lackluster, but the online matches were some of the best. Too bad no one gave it a chance.
Sega owns the shenmue iP. They can put it on whatever they want, or loan it out to be made and published by someone else. Just like bayonetta. They still own it, and still make money from it.
