Good thing I've built up a good collection over the years. I've got a good backlog to go through when this gaming as a service and all digital gets completely out of hand. Still looking forward to a few great PlayStation titles, but I really don't see myself going much farther than this gen.
A lot of people clamor for sequels, not realizing the creative devs moved on. A subpar sequel would be ripped to shreds, and lose A lot of money. Hence remasters, or total remakes, which still get ripped to shreds and lose A lot of money. Unfortunately, the tech industry moves so fast to catch the next big thing and doesn't have the longevity to keep creative studios together like they did in the past. It will only get worse from here.
Still really happy with my vanilla ps4. Waiting for days gone myself. Happy the xbone guys get their powerful console, but I will stick with my plain old ps4.
The reason I haven't bought a Nintendo console since the snes. It's not that they are bad consoles, but they have had the relatively same lineup for years. Fine for a diehard Nintendo fan, but not enough for a gamer.
