to be honest, it is the best handheld system I have owned hands down. the dual sticks, triggers and sheer diversity of games, along with the backwards compatibility of the ps1 and psp, make this the clear winner for me . however, I do like jrpgs, and Japanese games, so it is definitely not for everyone. could it be improved? most definitely. could they have made better choices with it? for sure. but I will be playing mine for years to come. just got back into freedom wars again. that's an...
To an extent, I agree. I was from the Atari age, myself, but I have no desire to play much from the 80s. Some fun times, but I do prefer modern games. However, there are still certain older games that hold up pretty good, and I do enjoy those. Mostly from 16bit and up, and a few older.
With 32 gigs, getting a card was inevitable. Not a big deal, just add it to the cost of the system, amiibos, screen protectors, pro controller, and whatever else you need for this bargain of a system.
Everyone takes ideas from someone and sometimes it's a hit or miss. The initial innovator usually gets cast aside for the more popular one. It's not just gaming, that goes for the majority of products.
Used one yesterday. The screen size is cool, but it felt goofy trying to play it as a handheld. Zelda was pretty meh for me too. The cheapness of the screen was also painfully apparent. All in all, I will never purchase one.
