Wow, huge differences between Halo 3 and Halo 4. Even Reach pales in comparison.
@stage88
By the time mw 2 development rolled in, the core IW team and Activision were having a spat and then a good >90% of the senior IW employees left to EA, hence the downward trend in quality of current IW games.
I think you're forgetting to mention that part. In addition, IW are the people who created the core mechanics of the current cod engine. They're the ones who pushed all the innovation that there is in cod games nowadays (with the exception ...
@Unlimax
Nearly every developer needs help and their publishers provide them that.
With gaming expenses increasing and set to increase again with the influx of next-gen consoles, financial support will be needed more than ever.
The majority of developers out there have a publisher, are owned by one, or receive help in other forms. How will you "support the developers only" without indirectly or directly providing the publisher revenue as well? ...
Wait, the author won't get Halo 4 because it has a tea-bagging mech??
I respect his opinion and all, but...seriously??
I loved tea-bagging people when over a decade ago when I was just a kid playing Halo CE and I still love tea-bagging people even now with an awesome job and a great family. It's simply one of the core staples of the Halo community.
And haven't you given it a thought that it's a crouch function as well, just...
I'd totally get one, but my silver reach console is still working beautifully.
Um..Microsoft are the ones who created 343i with so many talented individuals and gave the team pretty much an unlimited budget to work with.
And 343i is also a first-party studio for microsoft game studios. The devs did the work, but you shouldn't be so quick to strip credit from microsoft as they did their part as well.
The treyarch > new infinity ward - yes, that's true.
But treyarch <<<<<< old infinity ward.
If the senior members were still present and working at infinity ward, it'd be a different story. That's where the birth of call of duty 4 modern warfare took place and the majority of the innovation in the current cod franchise.
I feel the same, but we all know the cod kids will always pick every cod as goty at the spike awards...
Those awards are a joke.
These people should have at least played the game off-line.
This is the same website that continues to shower praises for the cod franchise yet takes the time to criticize halo 4 and the halo franchise on being too much the same and lacking in quality evolution...
What are you going on about?
No one here has said that he's pro-sony or against microsoft. Obviously, he plays Halo games and has some fan feedback to provide us. Nothing wrong about that. And I provided my own personal feedback in return.
Having played the game at rtx and at the recent euro event, I'm more than confident in saying that Halo 4's mp is miles ahead of Reach and is superior to Halo 3's mp. Nothing felt out of place or felt poorly implemented. The armor abilities were insanely fine-tuned so that they all instantly clicked in to the gameplay in a slick and tight manner.
Pretty much everyone there had the same impressions. Although I did meet one individual who continued to hold Halo 2 mp r...
I myself have managed to avoid Halo 4 leaked footage on youtube so far. I fell for all the Reach spoilers and I regretted that when I played the game on launch.
I'm not making that same mistake with Halo 4.
@below.
Yes, I did edit. :)
I'm sorry I thought that the OP meant this trailer was leaked footage. I probably should have left my original comment in place. Sorry about that.
Calm down.
343i are a pretty flexible team. They assured everyone that if there is a huge backlash against the new ctf mechanics or if they fail to work out in the long-run, they are more than willing to patch the game and let players drop the flag again.
So much content...and such quality spread out over on a large scale. Halo 4 is looking to top all the Halo games.
I think it's because there are tons of halo 4 submissions and articles.
If only a few came out, then I'm sure the comments or views per article would increase dramatically.
It was pretty obvious bungie wanted the series to continue. Otherwise, they wouldn't have gone through the trouble to make that halo 3 legendary ending.
You probably weren't even planning on playing it anyway.
Haha, that was a pretty great scene.
Why?
What here pales in comparison to Halo 3's beginning?
