I haven't finished the game yet, but one thing I can tell you is that the audio in this game is abundantly excellent and probably the best I've heard in quite a while. Yes, even better than Battlefield 3.
But once you put those turtle beaches on and listen to this game on there, it's pure heaven.
I thought forza horizon was incredibly addictive. I'm not really a racing fan, but I'm having tons of fun with it.

One review bashed Halo 4 for lackluster gameplay while mentioning that Halo 4 is similar gameplay-wise to the previous Halo games (which all have excellent gameplay, so how can he claim that Halo 4 has poor gameplay mechanis??)

Honestly, I'm glad 343i decided to go the safe route and I think that several fans appreciate that.
I don't care if some reviews penalize 343i for not majorly shaking up the core gameplay mechanics because then it'd be that much closer to being in a completely new territory which fans will not be familiar with.
The guy who reviewed this game was up all night talking and showing off the game on machinima's live yt channel. He definitely seemed to know what he was talking about.

Maybe if you actually bothered to read the entire ign review and watch the video review, you'd know why halo 4 scored points for innovation.
And this is "better and unbiased" how so? Because it awarded the game a lower 8/10 over ign's 9.8/10?

In my opinion, Halo 4 is "re-writing the rule-book" on video-game marketing.
-90+ minute webseries with strong characters and special effects

I agree. Just finished watching the last episode and boy, what a way to finish it up just in time for Halo 4. And that hunter vs chief battle = so very epic.
