They already confirmed that they are charging full price for each entry.

And why wouldn't they?

The developers have already stated that each entry is going to be a full length, full priced AAA developed game.

Since when do companies release full length triple AAA titles at a reduced cost?

Is Uncharted 4 going to be cheaper since we had to buy 1, 2 and 3?

Are you waiting until Uncharted 4 comes out before you play the entire series?

Did you wait for Mass Effect 3 to be released before you played the series?

Bioshock? Kingdom Hearts? Should I keep going?

Each release is a full length, full priced game. If you want to wait 10 years to buy multiple AAA releases then go ahead...but I've literally never heard of anyone doing that.

No, it's carved up so they can get us playing the game sooner.

"One epic game", while I agree would be amazing, would be released on the PS5 in 2025. This is exactly what they were trying to avoid.

If you think The Witcher or Xenoblade are going to be anywhere near the massive scale of FF7 Remake, then you simply don't understand how massive the Remake is going to be.

The Witcher pales in comparison to what needs to be devel...

While I'm not disagreeing with you here, they didn't want the entire game to be released 10 years from now.

Hence, we're getting a few games instead of one major release a decade down the road.

You're insane.

Part 1 PS4 title. Part 2 Xbox title? Part 3 NX or handheld?

You seriously have no idea what you're talking about and clearly lack the basic understanding to understand why that would never happen.

Each release is going to be a full game. It's own, AAA developed, full price game.

From what they've explained, each release IS going to be a long, full RPG.

No one ever said it was going to be episodic.

Is Mass Effect considered episodic for telling the story over a few games? What about Uncharted? Should I keep going?

FFVII: Remake is telling the full story (plus more) over the course of multiple, FULL LENGTH, FULL ...

agreed!

Sorry I don't have more to add. Just hyped!

1 pirated copy DOES NOT equal 1 lost sale.

Trust me. I will not be buying The Witness. No way. I don't like puzzle games in that style. There was never...ever going to be a sale coming from me for that game.

However...if I'm extremely bored one day and have extra time...sure I might pirate the game and give it a try.

Again,

1 pirated copy DOES NOT equal 1 lost sale.

It's very simple to understand....

It's crazy how this video perpetuates the "popular" opinion that "OMG FFXII WAS BAD. SO TERRIBLE."

It was one of the Final Fantasies I enjoyed the most. They go on to say if you like FFXII it's because you haven't played many FF games. Dafuq?

I've played literally every FF game to be released and still love XII. It's not my favorite but I think it's great fun.

People seem to say FF has gone down hil...

Exactly. People are so ridiculous. Anyone saying VII is or isn't the best game seems to lack the understanding that people like different things.

"There are many FF titles better than VII"...umm to you maybe. How do you explain that to someone who thinks VII is the best?

Same goes for:

"OMG LOLZ VII is the better than all the other FF's!!"

ummm ok.

Lolol "I miss Stella, a character I knew nothing about. I'm going to complain about something I have 0 experience with. Even though the new female lead could be more interesting than Stella, but I'll choose to judge something I've never played."

Completely absurd.

The curious case of "journalists" not knowing what they're talking about.

The entire article is basically complaining about games that nobody has played yet and complaining about long development cycles (why not just have them release the games faster, at less quality? That'll make us happy, right? )

Not to mention some "facts" here just aren't correct. FFXV has not had a 10 year development cycle. The development for the curr...

I enjoyed the Witcher a lot. Great fun. But it is extremely overrated. It's shocking to see the obsession over it.

I've been playing rpg's for the past 20+ years. Maybe the younger generations just have nothing to compare it to? I'm not sure. I don't believe that any seasoned rpg veterans are going crazy over the Witcher 3 (of course I could be very wrong here).

I'm playing Fallout 4 now and I must say it is a much more unique experien...

I just don't understand why they go with these weird, mobile looking 3d graphics

Totally breaks the immersion for me and seems to lack creative art direction

Unsung Story is taking the same route and it just looks so terrible to me

Disgaea, Banner Saga, etc get it right

(In my opinion)

FF7 and Hit man are being released in 2 completely different formats.

Hit man is being released in episodes. Small $ for a small amount of gameplay.

FF7 is having its story played across a few full length, full priced $60 releases.

Not even close to the same thing.

3799d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

Except 7 isn't episodic. Going to be multiple full priced games set in the 7 world.

Was mass effect episodic? Bioshock? Uncharted?

Didn't think so.

Not sure if you're purposely spreading false information or not.

Hit man and FF7 are not comparable.

Hit man has to be purchased in episodes.

FF7 is a full $60 release.

Good try, though!

3800d ago 1 agree5 disagreeView comment

No.

FF7 remake is multiple full game titles.

Think FF13 trilogy. One story told over a few full length games.

Not odd at all, my friend.

Agreed. I actually own all of the From Software strategy guides as collectors items. I love the hard covers and artwork. But using it for your first play through will definitely ruin some of the game's surprises and exploration.
